Chapter 615 Let Me Help You Out

His eyes were cold and deep, and he said indifferently, "Even if we are friends, you need to be serious about work. If your proposal can't convince others, handing it to me is just polluting my eyes."

Jessica lightly pursed her lips and looked at him with a hint of dissatisfaction in her beautiful eyes. "Mr. Montagu, do you always have to be so mean? I'm really curious, how did your ex-wife live with you?"

Matthew replied, "So you're curious about other people's sex lives? None of your business!"

Jessica pouted, "You know that's not what I meant."

Matthew said, "I really didn't know."

Jessica felt a strange sensation in her heart; Matthew's attitude towards her seemed different.

She remembered that Matthew used to treat her very well, even neglecting Mary for her.

However, this special treatment had always made Laura target her.

But it didn't matter.

Laura was no match for her.

And now, Laura had been kicked out of the Sarah family and would never appear in front of Matthew again in her lifetime.

The only woman around Matthew now was her.

Jessica suppressed her doubts and calmed her emotions before saying, "Mr. Montagu, I've made a reservation at a nice restaurant. Shall we go there for lunch?"

Matthew paused while flipping through the documents and said, "Okay."

A hint of joy flashed in Jessica's eyes, and she immediately said, "Then I'll leave now. See you at noon."

She turned and left, but Matthew's expression remained calm, unaffected by her emotions.

He then took out his phone and contacted Maria.

Maria, upon receiving his instructions, was speechless.

"Mr. Montagu, you're going to lunch with Jessica but want me to bring Mary along too? Aren't you afraid it will backfire and Mary won't talk to you anymore?"

Maria really didn't know how to criticize this.

Why was Matthew acting so strangely?

Couldn't he pursue Mary properly?

Matthew said coldly, "Do as I say."

Maria rolled her eyes, "Got it."

Mary arrived at the studio and had just turned on her computer when Maria came out and said to her, "Sean has some family matters to attend to. Join me for lunch instead."

Mary nodded, "No problem."

Maria looked at her expression and suddenly leaned in closer, whispering, "Mary, can I ask you a personal question?"

Mary blinked and looked at her in confusion, "Like what?"

Maria chuckled, "Your relationship status. Do you have a boyfriend?"

Everyone knew about Mary's divorce, so she naturally wouldn't ask about her relationship with Matthew.

Mary smiled, "No, are you planning to introduce someone to me?"

Maria grinned, "I'd like to, but I'm afraid you won't agree."

Mary said, "You can tell me. If the conditions are right, I'll consider it."

Maria said, "You said it. If I find someone suitable, you can't refuse to meet them."

Mary nodded, "Don't worry; I will."

Maria patted her shoulder and turned to leave.

Mary found it amusing that Maria would even think of introducing someone to her.

At noon.

Mary left with Maria.

When they arrived at the restaurant and had just sat down, Maria cursed under her breath, "This client is so strange. They said they would come to discuss cooperation at noon, but now they say they can't make it."

Mary paused and said, "Then what about the food..."

Maria said, "We have to eat it. Otherwise, it would be such a waste. It's a lot of money!"

Mary thought the same. After all, they had to eat, and she hadn't been to this restaurant before. The food looked quite good.

Maria took out her phone, sent a message, and then casually chatted and ate with her.

About ten minutes later, Maria suddenly winked at Mary.

Mary was puzzled, "What's wrong?"

Maria signaled her to look behind.

Mary turned her head in confusion and immediately saw Matthew and Jessica walking in, heading towards them.

Mary's expression paused, and she took out a napkin to wipe her mouth.

Maria whispered, "What's going on? How did we run into them here? And is that his new flame?"

Mary's expression was indifferent, "I don't know."

Maria observed her face and, seeing that she didn't look upset, couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

Matthew's move didn't seem to be working.

Jessica also saw Mary and took the initiative to greet her, "Ms. Smith, what a coincidence, you're here too."

Mary's expression remained indifferent as she looked up. "Anything you need?"

Jessica smiled and stood very close to Matthew, their posture intimate, "Nothing much, just saying hi. I see you're almost done eating. How's the food? Is it worth trying?"

Mary said, "These dishes aren't great. Choose something else."

"Really?" Jessica looked at Matthew, "What do you like?"

Mary said, "Let me help you order. I know his taste."

With that, she took the menu and started ordering.

Jessica was stunned, not expecting Mary to do that. What did she mean by this?

Matthew, on the other hand, stared deeply at Mary, and no one knew what he was thinking.
