Chapter 183 If a Man Changes His Heart, He's Just Trash
Seeing Mary, Cindy's face turned red with anger. She stormed over and raised her hand to slap her.
"You bitch! How dare you kidnap Laura? How can you be so cruel?"
Mary's eyes narrowed. She blocked Cindy's hand and shoved her back. "Are you a dog? Do you go nuts every time you see someone?"
"Bitch!" Cindy stumbled but steadied herself, glaring at Mary with pure hatred.
"You won't divorce Matthew. You came into the picture later but you still took the title of Mrs. Montagu. How shameless can you be?"
Mary was already mad at Matthew, and Cindy's words only fueled her anger.
She said coldly, "Our marriage is legal. Who's the third party here? The law will decide. If you keep bothering me about this, and I'll push back. I've got nothing to lose!"
A fierce determination appeared on Mary's face, intimidating Cindy into silence.
"And I didn't kidnap Laura. I wouldn't stoop that low. If a man changes his heart, he's just trash."
"You!" Cindy was so mad she almost fainted. She could never win against Mary!
Suddenly, a chilling presence filled the room. Everyone shivered.
Cindy turned and saw Matthew standing nearby in a black, custom-made suit. His tall, slender figure exuded a fierce aura, and his handsome, sharp face was cold and stern. His eyes filled with icy disdain as he looked over. Clearly, he had clearly heard everything.
Cindy immediately complained, "Matthew, did you hear what she said? She's so arrogant! She even called you trash!"
Matthew's face darkened.
"What are you arguing about in the hospital?" he asked coldly.
Cindy stammered, "She pushed me."
Mary looked at Matthew and took a step forward, but was stopped by the bodyguards. She smirked. "What? Afraid to let me get close? Think I'll kill you?"
If murder weren't illegal, she might have.
Matthew had broken her heart, made her suffer, and put her in danger. He deserved to die!
Mary's eyes were icy, but she didn't push further. She said directly, "Matthew, I've got proof I didn't poison the food. I'll send it to you. You can review it yourself. And I'll clear my name about Laura's kidnapping too."
She turned and left without looking back, her eyes cold as ice.
Matthew watched her walk to the elevator, his lips pressed into a thin line.
He quickly followed.
Mary reached to press the elevator's close button, but just as the doors were about to shut, a hand stopped them. Matthew stepped inside.
