Chapter 671 Mary, Do You Really Not Like Me Anymore
"Do you really want to divorce me?"
Matthew stood in front of her, blocking any escape route. His eyes held a complex mix of emotions, as if he had a thousand things to say but couldn't find the words.
Mary tried to stay calm. "The court date is in three days, Matthew. What are you trying to say now?"
Matthew gently touched her face. "Mary, do you really not love me anymore?"
Mary turned her head slightly, avoiding his touch.
Matthew's hand froze in mid-air. Seeing the resistance on her face, he forced a smile.
Despite his tall and imposing figure, he was surrounded by a faint aura of loneliness and sadness.
He stared at her for a moment, then suddenly grabbed the back of her neck and leaned in for a kiss.
Mary was always on guard, but she was no match for him.
Her delicate lips were captured, and she struggled fiercely, but couldn't break free.
Matthew easily held her wrists behind her back, pressing her soft body against his chest, forcing her to tilt her head up and endure the kiss.
It had been a long time since they had been this close.
Mary resisted, but Matthew grew more intense, savoring the moment and delving deeper.
Mary felt like her lips were no longer hers.
He was practically devouring them!
His fresh, pleasant scent overwhelmed her senses, confusing her nerves. Her body responded honestly to his touch.
Under such a passionate kiss, her body softened uncontrollably.
She felt disgusted with herself, and tears began to flow from the corners of her eyes.
Matthew tasted the salty tears after a while. He opened his eyes slightly and saw the tears at the corners of her eyes.
He paused, his Adam's apple moved up and down. After a long pause, he gently kissed away the tears.
"Mary, I don't believe you can't see that I'm trying to please you."
His voice was hoarse. "You said you liked the former Matthew, so I tried to be like I was before, but it seems you don't like it much."
His nose brushed lightly against hers, his tone steady and slow. "So, you really don't like me anymore?"
Mary's long eyelashes trembled uncontrollably. She wanted to admit it, but before she could speak, her lips were sealed again.
Matthew stole the words from her mouth.
"Forget it," he murmured against her lips, voice thick with emotion. "I don't want to hear it."
Mary remained silent.
He pressed her against the cold wall, and she shivered, instinctively leaning closer to him.
This action seemed to please him. His kiss became gentler, moving from her lips down to her neck and collarbone.
Mary tilted her head slightly, her breathing chaotic and rapid. "Matthew, what's the point of saying this now?"
After hurting her so many times, he wanted to make amends. But not everyone waits in the same place forever.
She had already moved on.
Matthew's breath lingered on her chest, heavy and hot, but he didn't go any further.
Her body no longer rejected him.
He could feel it, but he didn't dare to continue.
