Chapter 711 Together for Three Months
Mary found herself at a loss for words, leaving only silence in the room.
Robert smiled and stood up. "I'm heading out. Get some rest, and if you run into any problems, just call me."
As he stood, Mary rose too, watching him leave.
When the door closed, Mary couldn't help but sigh.
How did things end up like this?
She sat back down on the couch, sipping her juice slowly. Thinking about everything that had happened since meeting Robert gave her a headache.
She owed Robert a lot, but she had no idea how to repay him.
With another sigh, Mary got up and headed to her study.

In a beautifully decorated restaurant, Shirley was busy taking photos with her phone. Her makeup was flawless, and her face glowed with beauty. Her eyes sparkled as she posed for the camera.
Herman sat across from her, lounging casually in his chair. The diamond necklace around his neck glittered under the lights.
After finishing her selfies, Shirley checked the photos and asked, "So, what did you want to talk about?"
Herman gazed at her. "Have you thought about what I asked you before?"
Shirley looked up at him, pretending not to remember. "What are you talking about?"
"Playing dumb now?" Herman chuckled. "Shirley, you know you can't escape this. Pretending not to understand won't solve anything."
Shirley, satisfied with her photos, saved them and put her phone down. A slight smile played on her lips, and her eyes seemed to hold a teasing glint.
"I told you, I won't be anyone's mistress."
Herman replied, "That's not an issue anymore. I'm not getting engaged."
"What?" Shirley looked at him, puzzled. "You didn't break off the engagement because of me, did you? Please don't. I don't want to be hunted down by some powerful family. That would be terrifying."
Herman's tone was calm. "You're overthinking it. The engagement is off, and you need to be my woman."
His determination was clear, as if she already belonged to him.
Shirley picked up her wine glass, swirling it gently before taking a sip. She sighed. "Alright."
Herman's heart skipped a beat. "What?"
Shirley replied, "We can be together, but I have one condition."
Herman looked at her. "Name it."
There was nothing he couldn't handle.
While he was still intrigued by Shirley, he was willing to consider any reasonable condition she might have.
Shirley took another sip of wine and set the glass down. "Herman, I think you're just interested in me for now, and I have no interest in you. How about this: we try being together for three months. If you're still interested after that, we can continue. If not, we part ways. Deal?"
Herman frowned, not expecting such a condition.
His mood darkened, and his eyes grew cold as he looked at Shirley.
"Shirley, you don't get to set conditions with me."
