Chapter 625 He's Lying

Although she did have such thoughts, without hearing the recording, she couldn't believe she had said those words.

Wait a minute.

Wouldn't it be easy for Matthew to stop her?

Why would he be afraid of her deleting the recording?

If he refused to let her listen, did that mean he was lying?

Mary felt her thoughts were spot on, especially accurate. She rolled her eyes and left the neighborhood.

She returned to the villa community, this time bringing a helper.

Sean looked at the vast area and said, "You should have called me over yesterday."

Mary replied, "I didn't expect it to be this big. Stop talking, let's get started."

"Okay."

Two people working together made things go faster.

By noon, all the measurements were done.

Mary double-checked the data, and after confirming there were no issues, she said, "Let's go, lunch is on me."

Sean followed her, "Are you cooking it yourself?"

Mary paused.

Sean scratched his head, looking a bit embarrassed, "The food you cooked before was really delicious, but let's skip it today. You must be tired."

Mary forced a smile, "Indeed, I'm tired. Maybe in a few days."

The two returned to the city and found a restaurant.

It was lunchtime, and the place was bustling.

Mary was really hungry. When the food arrived, she started eating heartily without much concern for her image.

Sean looked at her and said, "Mary, has he been bothering you lately?"

Mary shook her head, "No. What about you? How's Mrs. Huxley?"

Sean said, "Staying at that hospital is quite reassuring, but my mom keeps talking about you."

Mary smiled, "I'll visit her once I'm done with this busy period."

Sean laughed, "My mom will be so happy to see you."

Just then, his phone rang. He looked at it and saw it was a call from Mrs. Green, the caregiver.

As he saw the number, his brow furrowed.

She usually wouldn't call unless something happened.

He answered, "Mrs. Green, what's wrong?"

Mrs. Green hurriedly said, "Sean, you need to come back quickly. A woman suddenly showed up trying to kick your mom out, saying she can't stay there anymore. She brought bodyguards and looks really fierce!"

Sean's brow furrowed deeper as he said, "Alright, I'm coming over now. Try to keep them from touching my mom."

Mary took a napkin to wipe her mouth and asked, "What's going on?"

Sean explained the situation.

Mary frowned upon hearing it.

A woman?

Who else but Matthew would trouble Sean?

She put down her utensils, "I'll go with you."

Sean said, "No need, I can handle it."

Mary insisted, "I can contact Robert. If things really get out of hand, he's the one to call."

Sean had to agree, "Alright then."

The two left together and headed to the hospital.

As soon as they stepped out of the elevator, they heard a commotion.

"Throw all their stuff out! They can't even pay the medical bills, and they're still staying in the hospital. How shameless!"

The voice was familiar, dripping with malice.

Mary looked over and saw Joan standing in the hallway.

Why was it her?

People from other rooms had come out to watch the scene. Doctors and nurses were standing by, but no one dared to intervene.
