Chapter 467 It Must Have Been Matthew

Matthew, that jerk, what was so special about him?

He didn't even like Mary, but he wouldn't divorce her.

Every time Shirley thought about him, she couldn't help but curse him out!

Fifteen minutes later, Mary showed up at the restaurant entrance.

Shirley rushed over, pulled her to a seat, and pointed at Sean, who was delivering food nearby. "Look, there he is."

Mary glanced over and saw Sean in a server's uniform, delivering food.

Shirley raised her hand, "Waiter!"

Sean turned around, "Hello?"

He looked up and met Mary's smiling eyes.

Sean was taken aback for a moment, then smiled and walked over. "Ms. Smith, when did you get here?"

Mary replied, "Just now. Why are you working here as a server?"

Sean's eyes flickered for a moment. "I got fired, so I ended up here."

Mary frowned, "What happened?"

How could he get fired?

Shirley sneered, "It must be that jerk Matthew's doing! This isn't the first time he's pulled something like this!"

Mary's brow furrowed, and her face grew serious.

Matthew targeting Sean?

Why?

Was it just because she was getting close to Sean?

But Sean saved her!

How could she ignore the person who saved her?

Sean said, "It has nothing to do with Mr. Montagu. It's my own problem. I must not be good enough, so the boss let me go."

Shirley slapped the table, "What's wrong with you? I bet it's Matthew causing trouble!"

Mary was silent for a moment, then looked at Sean. "Do you still want to do architectural design?"

Sean's eyes lit up. "I do, but it takes time to start making money in that field, and I really need cash right now."

Mary smiled, "Don't worry about that. If you want, come to my place. Our studio just opened, and we need new employees."

"Really?" Sean asked.

Mary nodded. "But I can't guarantee you'll be hired; you'll have to prove your skills."

She gave him the studio's address.

Sean was very grateful. "I'll think about it!"

Mary smiled, "Alright, get back to work."

Sean turned and left, and Shirley, resting her chin on her hand, looked at Mary. "You smile a lot more when you see him."

Mary gave her a helpless look. "What did you order? Can we eat now?"

Shirley replied, "I knew you were coming, so I ordered a bunch of your favorite dishes. Let's dig in!"

Without hesitation, Mary picked up her utensils and started eating.

She thought Sean would take a while to decide, but that afternoon, he showed up at the studio entrance.

Seeing her, he gave a slight smile.

Maria came out and asked, "Are you Sean?"

"Yes." Sean handed over his resume.

Maria opened it and looked through it. "You participated in many major architectural projects during college. Why did you stop later?"

Sean said, "For some personal reasons."

Maria raised an eyebrow. "Alright, let's talk in detail."

Seeing this, Mary knew Sean would probably get hired this time!
