Chapter 233 Crazy for You
Mary stood up and said, "I'll probably stay a few more days. Hope you're still in one piece when I get back."
Shirley replied, "Can't you just wish me well?"
Mary laughed. "Alright, I hope you have Herman wrapped around your finger, making him love you desperately."
Shirley said, "That's a bit creepy."
Mary laughed again. "Alright, talk to you later. Got stuff to do."
"Okay, bye."
After hanging up, Mary quickly freshened up. While changing, she noticed love marks all over her body and froze.
Memories of last night flooded back, making her face flush slightly, but she kept her cool.
Just then, her phone rang. It was David.
"Hello?" she answered.
David's cheerful voice came through, "Mary, did you get enough rest?"
"Yes," Mary replied. "Where are you?"
David said, "I'm downstairs at your hotel."
Mary glanced at the time, 3 PM. "You're here early."
David replied, "My friend runs a campsite in Lindenville. I made arrangements, so I came early. We might need to buy some stuff before heading there."
Mary understood. "Alright, give me ten minutes."
David said, "No rush, take your time."
She hung up.
Mary changed, tied up her hair, and looked refreshed.
Downstairs, David spotted her immediately and waved.
Mary asked, "Isn't it a bit late to go camping?"
David replied, "My friend picked a great spot. The stars are beautiful at night."
Mary, wanting to clear her mind, nodded. "Alright, let's go."
"Okay."
They went to a supermarket and bought snacks and fruits.
The campsite had self-service barbecue grills, so David bought skewers and vegetables.
Mary just followed him.
An hour later, they finished shopping. David rented a car and drove to the campsite.
It was dusk.
The setting sun painted the sky in dazzling colors.
Mary took out her phone to take pictures and even snapped a few selfies.
While driving, David asked, "Mary, will you go back to Lindwood City?"
"Yes," Mary replied.
David said, "What kind of job are you planning to find? Staying in Lindenville is also an option. It's developing fast with new investors."
Mary said, "All my friends are in Lindwood City, so I have to go back."
A hint of disappointment flashed in David's eyes. "Alright, but visit often. This place is also your home."
Mary's expression remained indifferent.
She wasn't interested in what he was saying.
They soon arrived at the campsite, where David unloaded the car and carried the stuff to their tent with Mary's help.
Once everything was set up, Mary rolled up her sleeves. "Let me help."
David smiled. "Sure, but be careful not to burn your hands."
"Okay."
