Chapter 331 Divorce? No Way

Matthew shot her a cold look, "It's not the same thing."

"You!" Mary was about to lose it with him.

She turned away, refusing to even glance in his direction.

Matthew watched her for a bit, then got up and sat by the bed, munching on the food she left behind.

Mary frowned but kept quiet.

In her head, she cursed, 'If he wants to get sick, let him! Maybe the virus will take him out, and I won't need a divorce. I'll be a widow!'

Matthew scarfed down the leftovers and tossed the food box in the trash.

Mary, feeling weak, dozed off again after a short while.

The room dimmed, and Matthew sat on the couch, staring at her.

He had gotten used to having her around; how could he just let her go?

No way Mary was getting that divorce.

The next day.

When Mary woke up, she felt a lot better.

Michael brought breakfast, and after eating, she said, "Matthew, you can't keep me locked up anymore."

"Okay," Matthew replied, sounding bored.

Mary sighed in relief and got out of bed. "I'm fine now, I want to leave."

She needed to see Robert!

She still remembered how badly Robert had been beaten by Matthew, and she felt super guilty.

Matthew frowned, "It's up to the doctor to say if you're fine or not."

Mary had to wait for the doctor to check her out. Only after confirming she was okay was she allowed to leave.

Mary put on her shoes and walked to the door, then turned to Matthew. "Where's my phone?"

Matthew's face turned cold. "I don't know."

She had fainted on the ground; how could he have had the mind to care about her phone?

Mary pursed her lips, "My phone was left at your place. Have someone bring it to me."

Matthew stared at her. "Are you ordering me?"

Mary shot back, "If it weren't for you, how would my phone have ended up there?"

Matthew was silent.

His face darkened.

But yeah, he was in the wrong first.

He coldly dialed a number.

Listening to his instructions, Mary sat on the hospital bed, waiting quietly.

Half an hour later, the phone was brought over, and she took it and left immediately.

Matthew stared at her. "Where are you going?"

Mary said, "None of your business!"

Matthew's face instantly turned grim!

Mary left the hospital and called Robert.

"Mary?" When the call connected, Robert's voice was weak.

Mary felt even more guilty and asked, "Robert, how are you now? Which hospital are you in?"

Robert said, "I'm fine now. What about you? Did Matthew hurt you?"

His tone was anxious, full of concern for her.

Mary said, "I'm fine. I want to come see you."

"Okay." Robert gave her the address.

Mary took a cab to his hospital, bought a fruit basket and some supplements downstairs, and went to his ward.

Sam informed Matthew of Mary's whereabouts.

At that moment, Matthew was in the car. Hearing Sam's words, his face darkened with a layer of frost!

After hanging up, his eyes flickered, and he directly dialed another number. "Joan, Robert is in the hospital. Go check on him."

"Just you coming to see me is enough. Why'd you bring stuff?" Robert frowned as he saw Mary carrying the items in.
