Shirley irritably scratched her hair.
Just then, her phone rang again. It was her boss calling.
Shirley took a deep breath and answered the call.
"Shirley, Mr. Adams has issues with the drawings and says you're not answering his calls. Are you trying to ruin our whole studio? Call Mr. Adams back immediately."
"I want to quit."
Shirley said flatly.
The other person was stunned, "What did you say? Do you want to quit? Are you kidding? You should know the consequences of quitting, right?"
Shirley, "I know, I'll bear all the consequences myself."
The other person was even more stunned, "Are you crazy? If you just finish this project, your income will be substantial."
Shirley tugged at the corner of her mouth, "But what if it never gets finished? Herman has been tough on me. I'm exhausted and just don't feel like pushing through anymore."
"You..." The other person thought for a moment but couldn't say a word.
Shirley calmly said, "That's it, goodbye."
With that, she hung up the phone.
Pointless.
Left Lindwood City.
But she had to think carefully about how to tell Mary about this.
Herman was someone she couldn't afford to provoke.

Mary came out of the building and saw Robert leaning against a fiery red Ferrari, smoking.
His hair was dyed light blue, making him look even more handsome.
His striking appearance and the car attracted a lot of attention.
Mary stopped in her tracks, suddenly not daring to walk forward.
But Robert had already seen her and walked straight towards her, "Off work? Let's go!"
Mary tugged at the corner of her mouth and said, "Robert, are you always this flashy?"

Robert handed her a box and said while starting the car, "Have something to eat first."
Mary was stunned and asked, "Where exactly are we going?"
Robert thought for a moment and said, "Quite far."
Then he gave her a meaningful look, "Don't worry, I won't sell you off."
Mary trusted Robert. She opened the box and found delicate cupcakes inside.
She didn't hesitate and started eating with a spoon.
Seeing this, Robert's smile deepened.
The sports car roared down the road.
About 50 minutes later, the car stopped on a road next to an abandoned dock.
There were few vehicles around, and on the inner side of the beach, there were many abandoned containers.
Seeing this scene, Mary suddenly thought of her previous ordeal.

When the seawater covered her ears, she thought she was going to die in that dark container.
Mary asked, "Robert, why did you bring me here?"
Robert pointed to a container and said, "Laura is in there."

Robert said, "I promised you I would do it. This time, I'll let her experience what despair feels like. I just don't know if anyone will come to save her."
