Chapter 533 Mary, Don't Go

The butler saw the servant return alone and immediately asked, "Where is Mrs. Montagu?"

The servant stammered and repeated what Mary had said.

After listening, the butler sighed heavily and looked at Matthew, who was unconscious on the sofa.

Matthew was tightly furrowed, and he kept calling Mary's name unconsciously.

"Mary, don't go."

But Mary couldn't hear him.

Mary went to the supermarket, bought some ingredients, and started cooking at home.

During this time, Robert called her. While handling the food, she said, "Robert, I'm cooking. Have you had dinner? Do you want to come over and eat together?"

Robert smiled, "Sure, I haven't had your cooking in a long time. I miss it."

Mary said, "Then come over."

Robert replied, "Okay."

The call ended.

About half an hour later, Robert arrived with Shirley.

Mary stood at the door, looked at Shirley, and smiled.

Shirley pouted and suddenly rushed over to hug her. "You haven't contacted me. I thought you didn't want me anymore!"

She was choked with emotion!

Mary quickly patted her back. "How could that be? I just had some things to sort out."

Shirley hugged her tightly and said, "You've lost weight."

Mary replied, "Doesn't that mean my figure is even better now?"

Shirley gritted her teeth. "I won't allow your figure to be better than mine. From today on, you must eat well!"

Mary nodded, "Okay, I'll try to be a little bit fatter than you."

"That's more like it!" Shirley snorted and then wrinkled her nose. "What's that smell?"

Mary stared, "Oh no, my soup!"

With that, she hurriedly turned and went into the kitchen.

Robert said from the side, "Looks like what I bought will come in handy today."

Shirley looked over and saw him holding beers.

Shirley's eyes lit up. "Tonight, we won't stop until we're drunk!"

Robert's face was both gentle and mischievous, and his smile was very alluring. "Alright, you two can drink to your heart's content. I'll take care of the cleanup."

Shirley patted his shoulder. "Robert, you're the best!"

Mary finished cooking and brought the dishes to the table. Shirley immediately took out the beer, opened a can, and placed it in front of Mary.

Mary was surprised. "A drink?"

Shirley raised her chin. "Drinking!"

Mary nodded, her eyes sparkling like starlight.

Robert ate quietly, and with each bite, his eyes brightened a bit more!

Delicious!

Mary looked at him and asked, "Robert, aren't you drinking?"

Robert said, "I'll drink a little, but tonight is your night."

He ceremoniously opened a can of beer, but only took a sip each time, not drinking much.

Mary didn't push him.

Shirley clinked the glass with hers and drank half the can in one go. She closed her eyes and said, "Refreshing!"

Mary frowned, "Slow down, no one's going to take it from you."

Shirley opened her eyes, which were already red. "Mary, you have no idea how miserable I've been these past few days. Just thinking about you being with that jerk makes me want to cry. He's hurt you so much, but why, why did you decide to get back with him just because he saved you once? It makes me feel like you have no sense. I want to crack open your skull and see what's inside!"

She clutched the can, looking at Mary, and as she spoke, tears streamed down her face.
