Chapter 784 Just This?

Cecilia Thorne's eyes widened in disbelief. "How do you know all this?"

Matthew looked at her like she was clueless. "Seriously? It's not that hard to dig into your past."

Cecilia's face went pale, and she seemed to lose all her strength, staring blankly ahead.

It was over.

Everything was over.

She had thought that if she just kept denying it, she would be safe, and her family would be safe too.

But Matthew was far more terrifying than she had imagined!

Her family could be used as leverage by that person, and they could also be used as leverage by Matthew!

Matthew observed her expression and said calmly, "Looks like you get it now."

Cecilia closed her eyes, and after a long pause, she said, "I'll tell you everything. Do whatever you want to me, but please, let my family go. They're innocent."

Matthew replied, "Talk first."

Cecilia looked at him, tears streaming down her face. "Mr. Montagu, I'm begging you, please let them go."

Matthew's handsome, sharp face showed a hint of mockery. "I'm not a charity. Crying won't make me suddenly want to help. If you don't have anything valuable to say, the Thorne family will be erased from Lindwood City."

His voice was deep and magnetic, his tone unhurried, but as his words fell, a strong sense of oppression spread throughout the room, dropping the temperature several degrees!

Shirley couldn't help but lean closer to Mary and whisper, "Is this what they call a domineering CEO vibe?"

Mary's mouth twitched as she looked at her. "Doesn't Mr. Adams act like this?"

"Him?" Shirley scoffed. "He's just a fool."

Mary was speechless.

Cecilia's body trembled, and fear began to show in her eyes. She had thought Matthew would be as easy to deal with as Robert.

But she hadn't expected him to be so cold-hearted and ruthless!

Robert then said, "Go ahead, I'll consider helping your family."

Matthew looked at him coldly, "So we have a philanthropist here."

The sarcasm in his tone was palpable.

Robert ignored him and looked at Cecilia.

Hope immediately appeared in Cecilia's eyes, and she began to speak. "I know she's from Diamond Ridge. She's a girl. She found me a week ago and made a deal. She wanted me to drug Mrs. Montagu and lead her upstairs. I didn't have to worry about anything else."

"What does she look like?" Robert asked.

Cecilia shook her head. "I couldn't see her face. She was wearing sunglasses and a mask, covering herself up tightly."

Robert continued, "Where did you meet?"

Cecilia replied, "In a park, specifically one without surveillance cameras."

Robert's brow furrowed.

The trail had gone cold again.

"That's it?" Matthew's cold voice broke the silence.

Cecilia's body shook, and she quickly said, "That's all I know. I'm not lying. Please believe me!"

Matthew scoffed dismissively.

He then took out his phone, tapped the screen a few times, and held it up to Cecilia.

"Is this the park you're talking about?"

On Matthew's phone screen was a surveillance video, showing her face clearly, with a girl sitting next to her.

The girl was indeed covered up tightly, her face obscured.
