Chapter 251 Heart Sinking

Matthew hung up and noticed Mary was gone from the pavilion.

He quickly walked over, seeing untouched drinks and desserts on the table.

He called her, but no answer.

Thinking of Jenny's hostility, his lips tightened.

He headed towards the villa.

At the door, Jenny blocked him.

"Matthew, where are you going? My birthday cake's here. Come make a wish with me?" she pouted, grabbing his hand.

Matthew pulled away, colder. "Where's Mary?"

Jenny blinked. "Who's Mary?"

"The girl with me," he replied.

Jenny shrugged. "How would I know? I'm only focused on you. Maybe she's admiring something nearby."

As the Johnson family's daughter, Jenny was sure their house would impress everyone.

Matthew's eyes narrowed, chilling her. "Jenny, have someone find her. She's not familiar with this place and might break something."

Jenny laughed. "It's fine. If she likes something, I'll give it to her. Matthew, let's not talk about her. Come make a wish with me?"

She grabbed his arm again, shaking it like a princess.

But Matthew felt anxious. He'd been calling Mary, but no answer.

Matthew pondered, 'She knows Jenny doesn't like her, so why wander off?'

Looking at Jenny's charming face, his eyes grew colder. "Find her now."

Jenny pouted at his coldness. "Fine, I'll find her!"

She called her bodyguards. "Find the girl Matthew brought. Bring her back now."

She looked annoyed. "So annoying. Why did she wander off and ruin my birthday?"

Matthew's expression was stern as he kept dialing.

Jenny glanced at his sharp face, infatuated. "Matthew, come make a wish? I've sent people to find her. Waiting here won't help."

His expression stayed cold, but he didn't refuse. He walked with her to the cake tower.

He sent a message to Maria, asking her to check the villa's surveillance.

Maria: [I don't want to.]

Matthew: [Do it, now!]

He put away his phone and went with Jenny to the garden. The cake tower was lit up, looking exquisite.

Jenny happily pulled him over, clasping her hands to make a wish.

Just then, Matthew's phone rang. It was a surveillance clip from Maria. As he watched, his face darkened.
