Chapter 34 A Blushing Face
Matthew held Mary in his arms, staring at her flushed, drunken face. He frowned tightly, "Mary, I'm taking you home."
"Who are you?"
Mary's vision was blurred, and feeling someone holding her, she immediately struggled.
Patiently, Matthew said, "I'm Matthew."
Upon hearing his words, Mary visibly paused, then struggled even harder, "What the hell are you? Don't touch me, get lost!"
Matthew's face darkened instantly.
Robert's lips curled sinisterly. "Bro, didn't you hear what she said? She doesn't want you to touch her."
Matthew gave him a cold glance, "This is between us, a married couple. Stay out of it!"
Robert's smile froze. A married couple?
Watching Mary struggle, a surge of anger rose within him, "But it doesn't look like it to me. How about this? Show me your marriage certificate to prove it. Otherwise, I can't let you take her."
Matthew's handsome face turned cold, his eyes extremely dark. He took out the marriage certificate from his pocket, "See?"
Robert stared at it for a while and reached out to take it.
However, Matthew put the certificate away, "Since when did the rebellious one of the Williams start playing the hero? Does your family know you've changed?"
Robert squinted, "Do you know me? Who are you?"
Matthew coldly looked away, lifting Mary and walking straight out.
"Hey? Where are you taking Mary?"
Shirley quickly followed.
Outside the bar, Matthew's icy gaze fell on Shirley's face, "Did you bring her to a place like this?"
Shirley felt a chill down her spine at his glance but said, "What does it matter to you where Mary and I go? Let her go!"
She moved forward to take Mary back.
Matthew coldly watched her actions, "It seems you don't want to stay in Lindwood City any longer."
Shirley froze at his words, "Matthew, you're despicable!"
Matthew got into the car with Mary in his arms, and the car quickly disappeared into the night.
Shirley stomped her foot in anger. Matthew was truly despicable!
Mary was not cooperative, sometimes reaching out to grab something and sometimes kicking her legs.
Matthew could only hold her to prevent her from hurting herself.
Seeing her so wasted, he frowned tightly.
She actually drank this much. Is she trying to get herself killed?
The car stopped at Montagu Mansion, the gates of which were opened by security. Matthew carried Mary out of the vehicle and strode into the villa.
The butler, Joseph Frank, rushed over, asking, "Sir, what's going on?"
Matthew said, "Have the kitchen send up some honey lemon water."
"Yes, sir." Joseph hurried off to give the orders.
Matthew laid Mary on the bed in the bedroom. When he stood up, his clothes were messy, with buttons missing from his collar due to Mary's actions.
"Where am I? I want to go home..." Mary sat up, her head spinning as she looked around the room, feeling extremely unfamiliar.
Matthew held her shoulders, "Mary, look at me."
Mary's face was red, trying to focus, but everything was still spinning. She slapped his head.
"What are you doing? Stop shaking. You're making me dizzy!"
Matthew abruptly closed his eyes, veins popping on his forehead. He realized she was intentionally retaliating against him!
