Chapter 203 Is It Fun to Bring Trouble Upon Yourself?

"Who the hell kicked me?"

Gary cursed as he tried to get up. When he saw who it was, his anger turned to fear.

"Mr. Montagu..."

Mary was already in Matthew's arms, his fresh scent making her a bit dazed.

Matthew's cold eyes glared. "You dare touch my people?"

Gary dropped to his knees. "Mr. Montagu, I didn't know Ms. Smith was yours. If I had known, I wouldn't have dared..."

Gary had been in Lindwood City for decades, but he was nothing compared to Matthew.

Matthew, the CEO of DK Group, had the powerful Montagu family backing him, capable of ruining someone without a trace.

Gary kept begging for mercy. Michael walked in, waved his hand, and two bodyguards dragged Gary out.

Gary pleaded, "Mr. Montagu, I know I was wrong..."

The bodyguards covered his mouth and dragged him into a private room. Muffled screams soon followed.

Matthew carried Mary out of the restroom. Seeing her pale face, he asked coldly, "Do you enjoy getting into trouble?"

Matthew thought, 'Would this happen if she stays at Montagu Mansion?'

Mary trembled, lowered her eyes, and stepped out of his embrace. "Thank you."

She was truly scared.

Matthew's appearance felt like a god saving her, shaking her heart.

Seeing her like this, Matthew couldn't scold her. He looked at her deeply and said, "Wait for me in my car."

He handed her the keys.

Mary took them and watched his tall figure walk away.

"Ms. Smith, please follow me," Michael said respectfully.

Mary nodded and followed Michael out of The Opulent Oasis.

After they left, Lily peeked out from a corner, terrified.

She questioned herself, 'What should I do?'

It seemed she had offended Matthew!

If Matthew found out she planned tonight's events, he would ruin her!

She checked her bank account and bought a plane ticket, planning to leave that night.

But on her way home, two bodyguards grabbed her and shoved her into a car.

Mary knew nothing of this.

She got into Matthew's car, his scent calming her nerves.

Suddenly, a knock on the window startled her, and she saw Michael's smiling face.

She rolled down the window. "What's up?"

Michael handed her a cup of hot cocoa. "Ms. Smith, this is from Mr. Montagu to warm you up."

Actually, Matthew didn't ask him to buy it; Michael did it himself.

He recognized Mary was important to Matthew and wanted to build a good relationship with her.

He wouldn't be as foolish as Sam, who troubled Mary despite knowing her importance to Matthew.

Michael mused, 'Sam deserves his beating!'

"Thank you."

Mary was surprised. She took the hot cocoa, feeling a bit dazed.

Since Matthew regained his memory, he hadn't bought her anything like that.
