Chapter 608 I'm Not Very Satisfied

Robert looked at her and asked, "Do you think this is a coincidence?"

Mary lowered her eyes, her expression somewhat complicated, and said, "I think I have a pretty good idea who did this."

When she saw Sean, he told her that all the major hospitals in Lindwood City refused to admit his mother for treatment.

No matter how much he pleaded, it was useless.

In Lindwood City, many people had the power to do this, but the only one who would actually do it was Matthew.

Out of options, she had called Robert.

By getting admitted to a hospital under the Williams family, the Montagu family couldn't interfere, and with Robert around, Lisa wouldn't be kicked out again.

She was very grateful for Robert's timely help, but also felt a deeper sadness, not understanding why Matthew wanted to completely ruin Sean.

Robert stared at her, "Mary, if you keep entangling with him, the number of people he targets will only increase."

Mary didn't say anything, a faint sadness crossing her heart.

Robert opened the car door, "Get in the car first. You can rest assured that Lisa is staying here."

Mary exhaled a breath, "Robert, thank you."

Robert had helped her so many times, she didn't know how she could ever repay him.

Robert smiled, "Don't say that. If we really count it, a few thank-yous wouldn't be enough to balance things between us."

Mary gave a bitter smile, "Yes, I owe you too much."

Robert's eyes were deep as he said, "That's what friends are for. So you don't need to overthink it."

Mary nodded and didn't say anything more.

Back at Maple Grove Manor, Mary didn't go home but stood at Matthew's door and rang the doorbell.

After a while, the door opened, and Matthew looked at her with a cold and indifferent expression, "What's up?"

Mary looked at him coldly, "Why are you targeting Sean?"

Matthew sneered, "Who does he think he is that I would target him?"

Mary's face turned darkened, "If that's the case, why did you hit him and go after his family? Matthew, if you have any grievances, take them out on me. What's the point of targeting others?"

Matthew looked down at her, "Anything goes if it's directed at you? Can you handle it?"

Mary was momentarily speechless and said, "So, you admit it, you did all this, right?"

Matthew didn't answer her question directly but instead said, "Mary, in what capacity are you questioning me? As my wife or as Sean's girlfriend?"

Mary frowned, "Let's stick to the facts. This matter is wrong in itself. Even if I were just a passerby, I would have the right to ask."

Matthew sneered, "If you're just a passerby, why should I answer you?"

With that, he was about to close the door.

Mary instinctively reached out to stop him, "Matthew, stop targeting Sean!"

She had to make Matthew give up this idea; Sean was innocent and was being dragged into this because of her!

Matthew raised an eyebrow, "Are you begging me?"

Mary's breath tightened, and she said, "If you want me to beg you, fine, I'm begging you, don't target innocent people."

Matthew's face grew colder, and he grabbed her chin, "But Mary, when you beg, you need to show the right attitude. I'm very dissatisfied with your current attitude."
