Chapter 241 Do You Think I'm Dead?
The once arrogant group was now sprawled on the ground, writhing and wailing, unable to get up.
Matthew stood among them, looking cold and menacing.
Mary had never seen him like this before.
He seemed satisfied, like he hadn't stretched his muscles in a while.
Matthew turned his gaze to her and walked over.
Mary blinked, threw her coat at him, and ran to David.
"David, are you okay? Can you get up?"
David, shocked, thought, 'Is Mary's husband really this impressive?'
His face was pale and bruised, looking almost comical.
"I'm okay," he gritted his teeth, trying to stand despite the pain.
Mary said, "I'll take you to the hospital. You need a full check-up."
David nodded, "Okay."
Mary called for an ambulance, but it was clear David couldn't go to the hospital alone..
Matthew, holding the coat, saw Mary fussing over another man and got angry.
He walked over, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her to a nearby car.
"What are you doing? Let go of me!"
Mary was startled and mused, 'Why is he acting crazy again? Doesn't he see David's condition?'
Matthew's face was dark. He pushed her into the car and said coldly, "I solve your problem, and you care about another man?"
Mary frowned. "I'm your wife. Isn't it your duty to help me?"
She thought, 'You help Laura all the time without asking for anything. Now you want credit for helping me once?'
Matthew's face grew darker. "What if I got hurt?"
Mary glanced at his hand, saw a tiny bruise, and pushed him away.
"That little injury is nothing compared to David's. Stop pretending."
She walked back to David.
Matthew said coldly, "Useless. You're coming with me now."
He grabbed her hand, trying to force her into the car.
Seeing her care for another man made him furious.
"Matthew, can you stop being unreasonable?" Mary snapped. "He got hurt because of me. I need to make sure he's okay."
If something happened to David, she'd feel guilty.
Matthew's eyes were cold. "Are you sure you want to go to him?"
Mary pushed him away. "Stop being crazy."
She quickly walked to David.
Matthew watched her, his anger boiling.
Seeing her so worried about David made him want to kill him.
Matthew got into his car and drove away.
"I shouldn't have come tonight," he muttered.
