Chapter 524 Hiding a Man at Home

Sean said, "It looks delicious."

He took a bite, and his eyes lit up immediately, "Tasty!"

Mary smiled slightly, "Everyone who has tasted my cooking says that."

She didn’t mean to be proud, but everyone agreed.

Sean said, "With your skills, you could start a restaurant. It would be popular."

Mary nodded, "Sure when I retire, I'll open a small restaurant and keep it running when I'm happy and close it when I'm not."

Sean laughed.

The two ate quietly, and the atmosphere was quite harmonious.

However, Sean's right hand was injured, making it inconvenient to eat, so he had to take his time.

Mary served him a bowl of soup and placed it by his hand, "Try this."

"Okay."

Sean agreed.

But he didn't hold it steady, and the soup bowl spilled all over him, soaking his clothes and pants with soup!

Mary was startled, "Did you get burned?"

Sean said, "No, it's fine, but I might need to use your bathroom."

Mary nodded, "Go ahead, check if you got burned."

Sean went into the bathroom, and soon the sound of running water could be heard.

Mary cleaned up the mess in the dining room, and just then, there was a knock on the door.

She paused, wondering who could be coming at this hour.

She walked over and looked through the peephole, seeing Matthew standing at the door, tall and stern.

Mary opened the door and asked in confusion, "Why are you here?"

Matthew looked her up and down and said, "You didn't come back, so I had to come find you. What if you changed your mind?"

Mary rolled her eyes and then said, "I just wanted to come back."

Matthew smelled the food, "Just finished cooking?"

Saying that, he pushed past her and walked in, acting with ease.

Mary frowned, "I didn't invite you in."

Matthew took off his coat and casually threw it on the sofa, then turned and walked towards the dining room.

When he saw the two sets of tableware on the dining table, his face immediately darkened, "Who's here?"

Mary said indifferently, "None of your business."

She didn't intend to tell him that Sean was here and wanted to get him out quickly.

"I'm not going back tonight, you should go back." Mary intended to kick him out.

Matthew turned to look at her, his collar slightly open, giving him a casual look, but his handsome face was still shrouded in coldness, his eyes dark, exuding a chill.

"Mary, who's here?"

Mary frowned, "A friend of mine, what's wrong?"

Matthew said, "Your only friend is Shirley, and she can't be here right now."

His tone was very certain.

Hearing this, Mary's face turned cold, "Matthew, we're just business partners. This is my matter."

Matthew walked towards her, his emotions almost uncontrollable. Personal matter?

In front of him, she had no personal matters!

They weren't even divorced!

For a moment, he almost wanted to tell her about it!

"Mary, I didn't get burned, you don't have to worry about me."

But just then, Sean's clear voice came through, breaking the tense atmosphere between them.
