Chapter 621 You said before that you love me.
"But you said before that you loved me."
Matthew stubbornly looked at her, as if he wouldn't give up until he got an answer.
Mary sighed and asked, "Any other requests?"
She was asking about the design ideas here.
Matthew remained silent.
Mary then said, "If there are no other requests, I'll start measuring."
She needed to verify the measurements with the data to ensure accuracy before she could start drawing the plans.
She took out her measuring tools and got busy.
However, the open space was really too large. She spent the entire afternoon measuring only half of it and would have to come back the next morning.
She wiped the sweat from her forehead, recorded the data, and then got up to leave.
The Panamera was still parked at the entrance, with Matthew sitting in the car. She had been busy all afternoon, and he had been waiting there all afternoon.
Mary thought he was really bored.
But since he hadn't left, she walked over and asked, "Matthew, can you give me a ride?"
Matthew had already taken off his sunglasses, holding a cigarette between his fingers, and glanced at her indifferently.
She had been busy all afternoon and looked quite disheveled, but her eyes were still very bright.
He smirked, "The fare is a thousand dollars."
"Forget it then."
Mary turned and walked away. There was already a bus stop nearby, and she could take the bus back.
Matthew didn't stop her, just watched her back through the rearview mirror, his eyes growing darker.
Mary returned home, completely exhausted.
Shirley looked at her tired face and said, "I'll order takeout. After you eat, you should rest."
Mary responded, "Okay, I'll take a shower first."
"Go ahead."
After showering, Mary came out with a towel drying her hair. By then, it was already dark outside.
At that moment, her phone rang. She looked at it and saw it was Michael's number.
She pursed her lips and answered the call.
But it was Matthew's voice on the other end, "I have a new idea. Come over."
Mary said, "Just tell me directly."
Matthew replied, "It's better to say it in person. Come over now."
Then he hung up the phone.
Mary rolled her eyes. She suddenly understood how Shirley felt before.
Sure enough, Herman and Matthew were friends because they were both jerks.
Coming out of the bedroom, Shirley called her, "Come, eat."
Mary said, "You eat first. I need to go out."
Shirley asked in confusion, "Where are you going?"
Mary replied weakly, "Downstairs."
Shirley sighed, "What does that jerk want now? Why does he keep bothering you?"
Mary said, "I wish I knew."
She went downstairs and rang the doorbell.
After a while, the door opened, and Matthew, wearing a bathrobe, looked more relaxed and casual.
Mary said, "What's your idea? Just tell me."
She even had a pen and notebook ready to take notes.
Matthew turned around, "Come in and I'll tell you."
Mary didn't want to go in, so she stood at the door, "You can say it. I can hear you."
Unexpectedly, Matthew walked to the balcony, and his lips moved, but she couldn't hear a word.
Mary was speechless.
She walked in, expressionless, and said, "What exactly is your idea?"
Seeing her obediently walk in, Matthew smirked, then pointed to the computer and said, "I found some reference images. Take a look."
