"Then please ask for me," Mary said and hung up the phone.

Richard looked at the information his subordinates had gathered, his face growing increasingly grim.
He slammed the documents on the table and angrily looked at Matthew, "What do you mean? Why are you stopping my subordinate from looking for Samuel? Do you not want him to come back?"
Matthew's expression was cold, his demeanor icy, "I just don't want you to waste resources on a dead man!"
"Shut up!"
Richard was furious, pointing at him, "Samuel is your brother. He was so good to you, and you don't want him to come back! Today, I'm going to teach you a lesson, bastard!"
He opened a cabinet, took out a long whip, and slammed it on the ground, looking at Matthew with eyes devoid of warmth.
Matthew looked at him coldly, a faint mocking smile on his lips, "He died in front of me. I still remember what his body looked like. Do you want me to draw it for you?"
"Shut up!"
Richard roared and lashed the whip at Matthew!
Matthew stood still, the whip hitting him with intense pain, and Richard's strikes grew harsher!
"Why wasn't it you who died back then?"
He said angrily, having thought about this every day over the years.
He wished so much that Samuel had been the one to survive!
