Chapter 550 Matthew

Mary's expression faltered slightly, her fingers tightening around her phone. In a somewhat flat voice, she said, "I don't think I've ever said he loves me."

Sophia seemed to sigh, "Mary, we lost."

Mary closed her eyes and said, "Sorry, Ms. Sarah, for dragging you into this. If it caused you any loss, please let me know."

Sophia gave a bitter smile and said, "No, there's no loss at all because I voluntarily chose to cooperate with you. I should bear any consequences."

Mary didn't speak for a moment because none of them had expected things to develop this way.

She never imagined that Matthew would help Laura.

At this moment, Mary felt an urge to go find Matthew and ask him what he meant.

Sophia's voice came through, "Mary, I'll handle things on my end first. We'll get in touch if there are any further developments."

"Okay."

She hung up the phone.

Mary still looked dazed.

For some reason, Sophia's words kept echoing in her ears.

Did Matthew love her?

She began to think about everything that had happened over the past year. She could be sure that Matthew before he regained his memory, loved her.

Everything changed when he regained his memory.

So now, she couldn't be sure if he loved her or not.

He probably didn't.

If he loved her, how could he do things that hurt her?

Mary gave a wry smile, suddenly stood up, walked to the fridge, opened it, took out a bottle of cold water, and drank it in big gulps.

In that instant, she completely calmed down.

After everything that had happened, she was still wondering if Matthew loved her.

How ridiculous!

A faint chill appeared in Mary's eyes. She took the water bottle and sat back down on the sofa.

Now, things had come to this point. She couldn't change anything and could only go with the flow.

The next day.

Mary opened the door and walked out of her room, entered the elevator, pressed the button for the lower floor, and waited quietly.

After descending one floor, the elevator door opened. Mary instinctively glanced over and her expression froze.

She stepped back, her demeanor instantly turning cold.

"Ms. Smith, what a coincidence."

Michael awkwardly greeted her, then cautiously glanced at Matthew beside him.

Matthew was dressed in a black suit, exuding a faint chill. His face was still a bit pale, but no other emotions showed.

His eyes swept over Mary's face. After entering, he stood with his back to her.

The space in the elevator was narrow, and an inexplicable oppressive and cold atmosphere spread within.

They reached the first floor.

The elevator door opened. Mary looked at the two people in front of her, then reached out and pushed Michael aside, walking straight out.

"Ms. Smith, goodbye!"

Michael stumbled, then awkwardly said.

Mary ignored him, remaining cold and indifferent.

Throughout the entire process, she didn't glance at Matthew, as if he were just a puff of air.

Matthew furrowed, and his face turned a few shades colder.
