Chapter 257 Matthew, Behave Yourself
Mary was startled and quickly dodged. "Matthew, behave."
Matthew just stared at her.
Mary took a deep breath, yanked off Matthew's belt, and then his trousers.
Suddenly, she turned around. "I just remembered I haven't packed. I'll go do that."
She started to leave.
Matthew asked, "What do you need to pack?"
Without looking back, Mary said, "Clothes. I need to wash the ones I changed out of."
She quickly pulled her hand away and went into the guest bedroom.
Matthew's breathing deepened, and he glanced down before heading to the master bedroom.
Mary leaned against the door, covering her face, trying to calm down. She almost lost control!
Thinking about Matthew getting hard, Mary rushed to the bathroom and splashed cold water on her face.
When she came out, Matthew was already in a bathrobe, sitting on the sofa.
Mary had changed into her own clothes. "I'm heading back now. I'll come over again tomorrow."
Matthew frowned. "You're leaving? Who's going to take care of me?"
Mary said, "You only hurt your left hand. You'll manage."
Matthew's eyes narrowed. "How did my left hand get hurt?"
Mary fell silent.
After a moment, she said, "I need to check out and pack my things. My luggage is still at the hotel."
Matthew's expression softened a bit. He nodded. "Go ahead."
Mary left as if a beast were chasing her.
Matthew called Michael, "Send two people to follow her and make sure she's safe."
Michael replied, "Yes."
Mary returned to the hotel and quickly packed her luggage. Sitting on the sofa, she thought about the unexpected twists, feeling a bit unhappy.
She had come to Lindenville to get away from Matthew, so how did she end up at the same hotel?
Fate was playing tricks!
Just then, her phone rang. It was David.
"Hello?"
David's gentle voice came through, "Mary, where are you?"
Mary said, "I'm back at the hotel. How are you feeling today?"
David replied, "I'm better. I can be discharged tomorrow. Can you come?"
Mary paused. "I've got things to deal with here, so I might not make it. But I've sorted out your job-hunting issues. You can apply once you're better."
David sounded disappointed, "Alright. Stay safe in Lindenville. Call me if anything happens."
"Okay, thank you."
Mary hung up.
They were both adults, so she knew what David was thinking.
So, she had to refuse when necessary. Otherwise, it would become a problem.
Just as Mary hung up, a message came in.
Matthew: [Haven't you finished packing yet? Need help?]
Mary pursed her lips, grabbed her suitcase, and went downstairs to check out. She then returned to the Opulent Oasis Hotel.
