Chapter 607 Targeting

Matthew glanced at the information and immediately said, "Pass the word down, anyone who admits his mother to the hospital is an enemy of the Montagu family."

"Get it!" Michael nodded and turned to leave.

Matthew picked up his phone again, looked at the glaring picture, and a cold, disdainful glint flashed in his eyes.

In the afternoon.

Sean received a call from the caregiver.

"Sean, what should we do? Your mom has been kicked out. They said the medical bills have been overdue for too long, and the hospital won't take her in."

Hearing this, Sean stood up abruptly, "Where are you now?"

The caregiver said, "We're at the hospital entrance. Your mom has already passed out, but no one is coming out to help her. Sean, what should we do?"

Sean panicked and immediately left the studio.

As soon as he walked out, he bumped into Mary. She stumbled back a couple of steps and asked, "What's wrong with you?"

"I'm sorry, something happened at my place. I need to go back." Sean's face was full of anxiety.

Mary asked, "Do you need help?"

"No." Sean flatly refused and then quickly left.

Mary picked up the scattered documents from the ground, returned to her desk, and thought about the injury on Sean's face. She couldn't help but purse her lips.

She really couldn't understand why Matthew was targeting Sean.

Mary sighed slightly and continued with her work.

In the evening, after clocking out, Shirley called. Mary answered.

Shirley's curious voice came through, "What's going on? Didn't we agree to have dinner today? How come there's no news yet? Don't tell me you and Sean have already started without me?"

Mary walked out of the elevator and said helplessly, "Something came up at his home, so it's temporarily canceled."

Shirley asked in confusion, "What happened? Is it serious?"

Mary replied, "I don't know, but he didn't look right."

Shirley said, "Then give him a call to check on him. After all, he did go to Maple Grove Manor to find you and invite you to dinner. It wouldn't hurt to show a little concern."

Mary thought she was right and said, "Okay, I'll hang up now."

"Go ahead." Shirley replied.

Mary then called Sean, and it took a while for him to answer.

Sean's voice sounded very tired.

Mary frowned, "Sean, how are you?"

Sean's breathing was noticeably heavier, and after a while, he said, "Mary, can you do me a favor?"

Hearing his hoarse voice, Mary became serious and said, "Tell me."

An hour later.

At the Williams family hospital.

Sean's mother Lisa Huxley was settled in. As Sean emerged from the ward with red eyes, he looked at Mary and said, "Thank you. If it weren't for you, I really wouldn't know what to do."

Mary said, "It was Robert who helped. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to do anything."

Sean looked at Robert and bowed deeply.

Robert said, "Alright, since she's settled, we'll leave now. Stay and comfort your mother, don't let her worry."

Sean nodded, "I understand."

Robert looked at Mary, "Shall I take you home?"

Mary responded, "Okay."

After saying goodbye to Sean, the two of them left the hospital.
