Chapter 464 About to Die

In this kind of rough, no-foreplay sex, Mary felt nothing but pain.

Her face went pale in an instant.

She fought back harder, not wanting to continue.

But Matthew's eyes were bloodshot, and he held her wrists, gripped her waist, and pounded into her.

Mary was shaking from the pain, tears streaming down her face. "Matthew, you bastard!"

Matthew leaned down to kiss her tears away, but his thrusts were anything but gentle.

The contrast between his soft reassurances and his rough actions was jarring.

After what felt like forever, Mary's eyes were swollen from crying, and Matthew finally stopped. He looked at the marks on her body, especially the finger marks on her waist, and his eyes darkened as he lit a cigarette.

Mary was trembling and gasping for air. It took her a while to calm down before she got up and headed to the bathroom.

When she got out of bed, her legs were shaking uncontrollably.

Matthew just watched coldly. When she entered the bathroom, he noticed the bloodstains on the sheets.

His face darkened, and he got up and walked towards the bathroom.

Opening the door, he saw Mary standing under the shower, her face pale and in pain.

"Mary!" Matthew shouted.

He rushed over and held Mary as her body went limp.

Mary fainted!

Matthew's expression tightened, and a sharp pain pierced his heart. He hurriedly dressed both himself and Mary and carried her to the hospital.

At the hospital, the doctor examined Mary and couldn't help but glance at Matthew several times.

Matthew stared intently at Mary. Seeing the doctor look over again, he asked coldly, "What are you looking at?"

After the examination, the doctor frowned and asked, "What's your relationship?"

Matthew replied, "Does it matter to you?"

The doctor's face turned even grimmer. At that moment, Mary slowly woke up.

Seeing her wake up, the doctor asked Mary, "Do you need me to call the police for you?"

As he spoke, he glanced warily at Matthew.

Matthew laughed in exasperation, "We're married!"

The doctor frowned and said, "Even for a married couple, sex shouldn't be this rough. She has severe vaginal lacerations and needs proper care. You need to be gentler."

The doctor's tone was very serious.

Matthew's lips pressed together, and he didn't argue.

The doctor prescribed some medicine.

Mary didn't say a word the whole time, just stared blankly at the ceiling. It wasn't until she felt her body being lifted that she realized Matthew was carrying her. His touch made her fearful, her face turning even paler, and she struggled instinctively.

"Don't struggle," Matthew said in a deep voice, "Or you'll fall."

Mary's eyes were still red and swollen, but they had regained a bit of their sparkle. She said hoarsely, "Matthew."

Matthew interrupted her, "Don't say things I don't want to hear."

Mary bit her lip in sadness and grievance. The pain in her body and heart made her feel like she was about to die! She thought, 'Why am I so miserable? Why won't Matthew let me go?'

Matthew took her back to the Montagu Mansion, placed her on the bed, and reached out to take off her pants.

Seeing this, Mary screamed, looking at him with terrified eyes. "What are you doing!"

Matthew was startled, not expecting her reaction to be so intense.

He explained, "The wound in your vaginal area needs ointment applied."

Mary shook her head in resistance. "I don't need your help. I can do it myself; give me the medicine!"

Matthew's face was very grim; he lowered his eyes and stared at her deeply.

Mary bit her lip, her expression still stubborn.

She didn't want him to touch her!

They were at a stalemate, Matthew didn't back down at all. He insisted, "Let me help you. You can't see the wound, but I can. Mary, be good, or if you get hurt again, it will still be you who suffers."
