Chapter 510 Go All the Way When Acting
In the car.
Mary rubbed her wrist. After being tied up for so long, her wrist was swollen and painful to the touch.
Her face was pale, and her clothes were soaked through.
Matthew took out a towel and wiped her face and neck.
Mary felt a bit awkward and took the towel, saying, "I can do it myself."
Matthew replied, "Haven't you already made up your mind? Start getting used to it now."
Mary paused, lowered her eyes, and said, "Will this work?"
Matthew said, "I can't guarantee it, but some people just don't want to see us happy together, so we should act even more in love."
Mary pressed her lips together and said nothing more.
Matthew gently wiped her hair, and the car headed straight back to Montagu Mansion.
Feeling cold and sticky made Mary very uncomfortable. So she said, "I'll take a shower first, and we can talk about everything else later."
"Go ahead," Matthew responded and then instructed the kitchen to prepare some cold medicine.
Although Mary hadn't been submerged in seawater, she had been in the container for several hours. The sea breeze was cold and made her prone to catching a cold.
When Mary came out, she saw the medicine on the table.
Matthew had already taken off his coat and said in a deep voice, "Drink this first."
Mary didn't refuse and drank it.
She felt warm and comfortable from the inside out.
Mary's furrowed brows relaxed a bit, and she sat down on the sofa.
Matthew said, "Since we need to act to confuse them, we have to fully commit. Either you move here, or I move to Maple Grove Manor. We should return to Montagu Manor once a week. Oh, and we need to remarry."
Although the divorce was fake, the process still had to be followed.
Otherwise, if they just got back together, others might become suspicious.
Hearing that, Mary said, "Forget about remarrying. If anyone asks, we can explain it after the wedding."

Matthew looked at her, and after a while, he said, "Mary, are you leaving yourself out?"

Mary then asked, "How do you plan to deal with today's incident?"
It was Victoria who led it, and Laura who orchestrated it. She almost died.
If Matthew hadn't come, she might have already been drifting into the depths of the ocean with the container.
A hint of coldness appeared in Mary's eyes.
Matthew asked, "What do you want to do?"
Mary asked, "Is the Sarah family very powerful in Lindwood City?"
Matthew said indifferently, "Not really. Laura is an illegitimate child."
Over the years, Laura's life had been easier at home because she had once saved Matthew.
Mary chuckled and said, "Can you give me a file on the Sarah family?"
Matthew leaned back and looked at her, asking, "What are you going to do?"
Mary said calmly, "Whatever she wants, I'll destroy it, so she gets nothing."
