Chapter 411 Stop Pretending

Felix wrapped up his point and shot a quick question, "Ms. Smith, what do you think?"

Mary nodded. "I'll add it to the design when I get back and send it over for you to check out."

Felix nodded back. "Sounds good."

Mary stood up. "Alright, I'll head out now and not keep you any longer."

But Felix grabbed her arm. "Ms. Smith, don't rush off. Since you're here, why not stay for a drink?"

Someone chimed in, "Yeah, Ms. Smith, you're gorgeous. Bet you're amazing at your job too, right?"

Another person said, "Come on, have a drink. When we buy land in the future, we'll have you do the design!"

Mary's smile faded a bit, but she still replied, "Sorry, I need to get back and work on the drawings."

Felix wasn't having it and pulled her to sit down. "Ms. Smith, no need to rush. Have a couple of drinks before you go."

Mary was forced to sit, and someone immediately wrapped an arm around her waist.

Mary stood up abruptly. "Mr. Reed, I really don't have time tonight. You wouldn't force me, would you?"

Felix's face stiffened.

"You're drinking this whether you want to or not!" Before Felix could say anything, the others were already annoyed.

Someone yanked Mary back onto the couch, grabbed a glass of wine, and started forcing her to drink!

Mary struggled, spilling wine all over herself, soaking her clothes and making her look a mess.

The others looked at her with increasingly nasty intentions.

"Can't drink? What are you pretending for?" someone said.

"Drink these or the deal's off!" Felix sat on the side, glaring at Mary. He was pissed she refused to drink.

Mary was held down by two people, with wine all over her face and body.

She choked and coughed violently, struggling hard.

"Let go!" She bit down on a guy's arm, making him yelp in pain and let her go.

Seeing this, Mary quickly got up to run out!

But someone was faster and pulled her back again. "Where do you think you're going?"

Someone else said, "Coming here late at night to talk business, aren't you just here to sell yourself? Stop pretending!"

Another one said, "Serve us well, and we'll give you all the contracts you want!"

Their words got nastier and more out of line.

Mary's eyes turned red as she struggled, looking at Felix. "Mr. Reed!"

Felix frowned but stayed silent.

Despair washed over Mary's face!

Meanwhile, Herman and Matthew stepped out of the elevator.

Herman casually said, "What's up with you today? Why'd you agree to come to this birthday party? You usually hate these things."

Matthew's expression was ice-cold. "Can't I join in the fun?"

Herman glanced at him. "Sure, why not? But aren't you gonna spend time with your wife?"

Matthew gave him a cool look. "Jealous?"

Herman sneered. "You married folks wouldn't get the joys of being single."

As he spoke, he pushed open the door to the private room, but just as he was about to enter, he heard noises coming from the room next door.
