Chapter 706 Joey is Rebecca's Elder Brother

"Rebecca." David mentioned a name. "Back then, after her biological parents found her, she never came back. I didn't expect her to visit this time, and she even brought a lot of stuff. She told me she plans to make regular donations to the orphanage."

Mary paused, her memories of Rebecca a bit hazy. She only remembered that Rebecca had always been favored by Barbara, who would give Rebecca anything good she had.

The orphanage's conditions weren't great back then. All the kids wore patched-up clothes, but Rebecca always had new clothes. She was always pretty and clean.

Mary had always been a quiet child, often staying in the corner by herself.

David couldn't help but sigh, "I thought she'd never come back. Now, she's the daughter of the prestigious Cooper family from Diamond Ridge."

The Cooper family? Mary's expression changed. Was it the Cooper family she knew?

David looked at her. "What's up?"

Mary shook her head. "Nothing. You mentioned the Cooper family. I recently met someone from the Cooper family in Diamond Ridge. I wonder if they're related."

David asked, "Is it Joey Cooper?"

Mary nodded, "Yeah, it's him."

David laughed, "He's Rebecca's older brother."

David said, "I didn't expect you to know Rebecca's brother. What a coincidence."

Mary nodded "It really is."

"Alright, enough talking. Let's eat." Mary invited.

"Sure." David nodded and followed Mary into the dining room.

Shirley brought over the utensils, smiling. "Have a seat. These are Mary's specialties. She's a great cook!"

David smiled. "I can't wait to try them."

The atmosphere at the table was relaxed.

They hadn't seen each other in a while, so they talked about the orphanage.

David managed the orphanage while taking online orders, which kept him very busy, but he enjoyed it.

Shirley, who was good at making new friends, quickly warmed up to David.

After the meal, David said he had to leave.

"In such a hurry?" Mary was a bit surprised.

David said, "I planned to come and go on the same day. I can't leave the orphanage for too long."

Mary asked, "When's your bus?"

David gave a time, and there were still three hours left.

Mary grabbed her car keys. "We have time. Let's go to the supermarket. I'll buy some things for the kids."

David didn't refuse. "On behalf of the kids, thanks."

Mary smiled. "No need to be so formal with me. If the orphanage ever needs anything, just let me know."

"Okay." David replied.

They went shopping at the supermarket.

Mary knew exactly what the kids at the orphanage needed. The three of them pushed three shopping carts, heading straight for their targets.

An hour later, they left the supermarket. The staff helped load everything into the car.

"I'll arrange for these to be shipped to Lindenville tomorrow." Mary suggested.

David nodded. "Great."

He checked the time. "I have to go. Once Lindenville is all set, you should visit often."
