Chapter 259 Even If I'm Lonely, I Won't Come to You

Mary suddenly stood up and looked around. This wasn't her room; it was the master bedroom!

She thought, "What's going on? How did I end up here?"

She checked her clothes—everything was fine, no soreness or discomfort. She sighed in relief.

"What are you worried about?" a hoarse, lazy voice asked.

Mary turned to see Matthew, half-awake, looking relaxed.

"Why am I in your room?" she asked.

Matthew laughed. "It is my line."

He got up slowly, the blanket slipping off to reveal his firm muscles.

"Feeling lonely and sneaking into my room?" he teased.

Mary's face darkened. "Even if I were lonely, I wouldn't come to you."

She tried to get out of bed, but Matthew pulled her back, pressing her down.

"Not coming to me? Then who? Robert or David?" he asked coldly.

Mary mocked, "Who I go to is none of your business."

Matthew's tone grew colder. "I'll show you if it is."

He kissed her. Mary struggled, accidentally touching his left arm, making him wince in pain.

"Mary, trying to murder your husband?" he gritted out.

Mary froze, realizing she might have gone too far. "Who told you to be so unruly? Are you calm now?"

Matthew didn't respond, still pressing against her like a mountain.

"Get up, you're suffocating me," she said, pushing his shoulder.

Matthew slowly got up, his lips brushing her face, eyes dark. "I really want to."

"You're crazy!" Mary muttered, getting out of bed and heading to the guest bedroom to freshen up.

In front of the sink, she wondered how she ended up in his room. She remembered having some red wine last night and then nothing.

Mary's face darkened. No more drinking; it caused too much trouble!

After freshening up and changing clothes, she saw Matthew still in his robe, hair messy but face washed.

"Do you want to wash your hair?" she asked.

Matthew looked at her coolly. "What do you think?"

Mary pressed her lips together. He just couldn't talk nicely, could he?

Expressionless, she prepared the water, washed his hair, dried it, and took out some clothes. "Take off your robe, I'll help you change."

But Matthew just sat there.

"Hey, don't go too far!" she said.

"If you think I'm being unreasonable, you can leave," he replied.

Mary took several deep breaths, walked up to him, and pulled off his robe's belt.
