Chapter 319 I Hate You

The night was pitch black, and the sky, which had a sliver of moonlight, got swallowed up by dark clouds.

Raindrops started falling, turning into a full-on downpour!

The rain streaked down the glass, making crazy, crisscrossing lines, throwing the room into a mess of light and shadow.

Mary bit down on his shoulder, her eyes all watery and full of hate. She was shaking like a leaf, tears streaming down her face.

Matthew's shoulder muscles were rock hard. The veins on his forehead were popping, and his eyes were cold and dangerous.

"I hate you, Matthew, I hate you!" Mary sobbed, hitting him with her hands, struggling until she was out of breath but refusing to give in.

Matthew, though, was being a total jerk, all domineering and ruthless.

Mary was wiped out.

She could only cry helplessly.

'Why is Matthew treating me like this? He already hooked up with Laura, so why's he still taking it out on me?' Mary couldn't help but think, 'He was together with Laura, wouldn't it be better to just divorce me? Why does he have to humiliate me like this?'

Everything calmed down, but the storm outside kept raging.

Matthew looked at Mary, her body covered in bruises, his eyes dark with emotion.

He grabbed her chin and said coldly, "You think you're free just 'cause you believe I hooked up with Laura? Don't even dream about it. You're under my control for life!"

With that, he turned and went into the bathroom.

The sound of water came, and Mary felt a bone-chilling cold!

She curled up, but any movement brought pain to her waist and legs.

Tears fell from her eyes, and she wiped them away.

She didn't want to stay here!

Mary gritted her teeth and got up, putting on her torn clothes, which still managed to cover some of her body.

The villa was dead quiet.

Mary left directly, the heavy rain washing away her traces and covering the sound of her departure.

Rushing into the rain, she was soaked through in an instant!

She hurt all over, the cold seeping in continuously. She walked along the roadside.

In her heart, she knew she had never wronged Matthew!

But why did he have to treat her like this?

Mary couldn't understand, she just wanted to escape. As long as she was far away from him, she wouldn't be sad or in pain anymore.

She didn't know how long she had walked, her hands and feet were already numb from the cold.

Things in front of her began to spin, and Mary sat down on a bench by the roadside.

The rain was still falling, her long hair sticking to her face, rainwater sliding down her cheeks. She held on, but her vision went black, and she passed out.

Matthew came out of the bathroom, and Mary was no longer on the bed.

His face immediately darkened. He put on his clothes and went out to look for her.

The butler had people search the entire villa but found no trace of Mary.

Finally, Matthew checked the surveillance and saw her leaving in the rain.

Matthew stared at the slender figure in the surveillance video and sneered inwardly. 'Mary dares to run! Does she think she could get away?'

He took out his phone and directly dialed Sam's number. "Where is Mary?"

Sam was silent for a moment before saying, "Ms. Smith fainted. She was taken away by Robert."

Matthew's voice was filled with cold menace. "Useless person."

Sam was silent for a while before saying, "You instructed me to ensure her safety, but Robert didn't harm her."

The call was abruptly ended.
