Chapter 551 What's Wrong with Her?

He looked at Michael coldly, "What's wrong with her?"

Michael looked bewildered, "I-I don't know."

When they had met Mary at the hospital earlier, she wasn't like this. But now, Mary seemed unapproachable and very cold.

What had happened during this time?

Matthew said coldly, "Go find out."

"Yes." Michael nodded.

Matthew didn't leave but went to the basement, as if he had remembered something, and said, "Have Sam come see me."

"Yes."

The DK Group.

As soon as Matthew entered the office, Sam knocked on the door.

"Come in."

Sam pushed the door open and walked in, looking a bit uneasy, "Mr. Montagu."

Matthew sat in his chair and asked coldly, "You've been following Mary. Did you notice anything unusual?"

Sam's eyes flickered. He hadn't been following Mary all night, but he could still talk about what had happened earlier.

"Robert went to pick up Ms. Smith, and then they went to the beach, the place where Ms. Smith was taken last time," Sam said.

Hearing this, Matthew narrowed his eyes, "Why did they go there?"

Sam, "I-I don't know. I was a bit far away, keeping an eye on Robert. I was afraid he might harm Ms. Smith."

Matthew's fingers tapped rhythmically on the desk. His expression remained cold and indifferent. After a while, he said, "Alright, I understand. You can go now."

"Okay."

Sam immediately breathed a sigh of relief, turned around, and left.

Matthew, however, stared at his back, his expression instantly turning cold.

Mary arrived at the studio, clocked in, and just sat down to open her computer when Sean walked over.

He handed her a box of milk, "You don't look well. Didn't you rest well last night?"

Mary looked at the box of milk, her expression pausing slightly, and said, "I'm fine. Your arm hasn't fully recovered yet. You should drink it."

Sean pursed his lips, "Mary, about last time, I didn't mean it."

"I know." Mary nodded, "I didn't take it personally. You shouldn't overthink it either."

Sean lowered his eyes, "I'm afraid you guys got divorced because of me. If that's the case, then I'm guilty."

Mary smiled, "You're overthinking it. That matter has nothing to do with you."

"That's good." Sean immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

He seemed a bit nervous and hesitated for a moment before asking, "A friend gave me two movie tickets. Do you have time tonight?"

Mary's smile faded a bit, "Sean, it's work hours now. Let's focus on our tasks first."

A polite refusal.

The faint light in Sean's eyes instantly dimmed.

Mary looked away and got busy.

Sean returned to his workstation, looking a bit despondent. Catherine, who was nearby, sneered, "What's so good about a divorced woman? What do you see in her?"

Sean pursed his lips and glanced at her, "I think you should reflect on yourself."

"What?" Catherine didn't understand what he meant.

Sean, "I'd rather go to her than look at you for another second. Don't you think you need to reflect on that?"

"You!"

Catherine's expression instantly turned pale. She glared at Sean viciously, stood up, and went to the break room.
