Chapter 577 When Did You Go Blind?
If Matthew reconciles with Mary, then Laura won't have a chance.
In that case, her position in the Sarah family would be secure.
Matthew sat next to Mary and asked in a low voice, "What are you looking at?"
Mary ignored him.
Matthew continued to ask, "You haven't answered me. What are you staring at Herman for?"
Mary glanced at him and said, "I think he's more handsome than you."
Hearing this, Matthew narrowed his eyes dangerously, seemingly not expecting her to say that. He reached out and grabbed her chin, making her face him, and said coldly, "When did you go blind?"
Mary pushed his hand away, turned her head, and continued eating fruit, not wanting to continue this topic with him.
Matthew's gaze fell on Herman, who was playing a drinking game. He lost and picked up his drink to down it.
How was he more handsome than me?
Mary's eyes must be blind. It looked like he needs to find time to take her to see a doctor.
Laura had been watching Matthew's actions the whole time. Seeing him go to Mary's side, she clenched her fists.
How could that bastard show up here?
With her status, she didn't deserve to be here at all!
Laura thought for a moment, then walked over to Joan and said, "Joan, how could some people with bad character come to your birthday party? Don't let them bring you down. And with so many valuable gifts, what if something gets stolen?"
Hearing this, Joan frowned, "Who came in?"
Laura pointed to Mary and Maria.
Joan looked over and, seeing Matthew next to Mary, her expression froze, "Why is Matthew sitting next to Mary? Is he planning to reconcile with her?"
Laura said nothing.
Joan continued, "If Matthew hadn't had that car accident back then, you would already be his wife now, and Mary wouldn't have any chance at all. If Matthew reconciles with her, what will you do?"
Laura pretended to be magnanimous and said, "Joan, it's okay. I can understand if Matthew has a change of heart.. After all, I'm much worse than Mary, and my health isn't good."
Joan snorted coldly, "He's just a bastard. Besides, you lost your leg saving Matthew. Mary is not as good as you. Don't worry, I will never allow her to take Matthew away."
After saying that, she waved to a waiter, gave some instructions, and pointed at Mary.
The waiter nodded and walked towards Mary.
Laura said worriedly, "But Matthew is over there. If we kick her out, Matthew might get angry."
Joan said, "I have a way."
She called another waiter and gave some instructions.
Laura watched the whole process and slightly smiled.
The waiter went to Matthew and said respectfully, "Mr. Montagu, Ms. Bailey wants to speak with you."
Matthew raised an eyebrow but didn't get up, "What is it? Let her come over and say it."
The waiter was stunned, not expecting Matthew to react this way.
