Chapter 497 You are really disgusting
Shirley's eyes flicked down to his lower half, a mix of emotions playing across her face. Without a word, she turned and walked out of the study.
Herman stood there, taken aback by Shirley's boldness.
A thought started to form in his mind, laced with a hint of excitement. He watched her leave, his gaze darkening.
Shirley made her way to the sofa, grabbed her bag, and was about to head out.
But Herman stepped in front of her.
She looked at him calmly. "Something else?"
Herman stared at her for a moment before asking, "Wanna play?"
In the quiet of the night, alone in a room, his meaning was clear.
Shirley was surprised by his directness. She thought he'd be over it after the last two times, but apparently, his desire was still strong.
She walked up to him, her fingers trailing down his chest. Her innocent face had a hint of mischief in her eyes.
"Mr. Adams, are you hooked on sleeping with me?"
Her fingers rested on his chest, feeling his heartbeat.
She added, "Didn't you say you had someone you liked? What if she found out?"
Shirley, small and delicate, stood before Herman's tall frame, but she wasn't backing down.
Herman grabbed her hand, pulling her closer.
His usual lazy smirk was in place. "Yeah, I'm hooked. Why don't we go all out this time?"
"Why should I sleep with you?" Shirley pulled her hand back, her tone icy. "Your heart's with someone else, but your body's here. Don't you find that gross?"
Irritation flared within her.
Herman's playful look faded a bit. "It's just a game, a one-night stand. You said you didn't need me to be responsible. So why do you care?"
Shirley looked at him with disdain. "If I'd known you were like this, I'd rather sleep with a beggar than you."
With that, she headed for the door.
"Shirley, did I say you could leave?" Herman's voice was cold.
Shirley wasn't fazed. "Either fire me and get another designer, or drop it!"
The previous incidents hadn't bothered her, but Herman's attitude did.
If he was shameless, why should she respect him?
He deserved to be put in his place!
The door slammed shut behind her.
Herman kicked the table, frustration boiling over.
What was going on?
Was it just because he didn't sleep with her?
Was it worth getting this worked up?
Thinking about what Shirley had said, Herman's face tightened.
Did he still like that other woman?
He pulled out his phone and looked at his chat history with Snowy. They used to chat every day, and she'd reply sometimes. But lately, he hadn't reached out at all.
Herman's brows furrowed. Did he not like Snowy anymore?
