Chapter 440 This Is Trespassing

Everyone couldn't help but remember the first time Mary hit up the bar where Robert worked and how she acted after getting plastered.

She just wouldn't let go of Robert!

Mary, looking all chill, said, "It's just beer; one can won't hurt."

Shirley jumped in, "Mary says one bottle's fine, so let's do it!"

Robert gave a slight smile and popped open the beer.

Just as they were about to drink, there was a knock on the door.

Shirley, puzzled, asked, "Who could that be at this hour?"

Mary looked over, just as confused.

Robert, on the other hand, took a sip of his beer, acting like he didn't care who it was.

Shirley opened the door and saw two people standing there. She immediately tried to shut it.

Herman quickly blocked it and looked at her. "Why are you closing the door? Got something to hide?"

Shirley shot back, "Are you nuts? Can't you see you're not welcome? This is my house, I can close the door if I want. It's none of your business."

Herman's face darkened with anger.

Shirley was too much!

Just last night, she had slept with him, but now she was acting like she was indifferent for him.

She even cursed at him the moment she saw him!

Herman gritted his teeth and shoved the door open. "Now it's my business. So what?"

His tall frame stepped forward, making Shirley back up several steps. She watched helplessly as Herman and Matthew walked in like they owned the place.

Shirley pointed at them. "Get out! Did I say you could come in? This is trespassing, you know?"

Herman suddenly moved closer to her.

Shirley, scared, took two steps back, "What are you doing?"

Herman sneered, "You're so scared, yet you dare to talk to me like that?"

Shirley snapped, "Screw you!"

They were about to throw down!

Mary sighed, "Shirley, let's just eat."

Seeing Matthew, Mary knew Shirley wouldn't be able to kick them out.

Since that was the case, they might as well eat first.

If Herman and Matthew wanted to come in, so be it.

Shirley glared at Herman, then walked over and sat down again, "Come on, let's eat. Don't let a couple of jerks ruin our mood!"

Robert chuckled softly.

The atmosphere instantly got tense and awkward.

Matthew walked over, rudely opened the cabinet, grabbed some utensils, and sat next to Mary.

As he got closer, Mary smelled the alcohol on him.

She frowned slightly and glanced at him.

Matthew immediately looked back at her, "What's wrong?"

Mary didn't say anything, looked away, and continued eating.

Herman also sat down, smiling at Robert, "Mr. Williams, didn't you go home directly after coming back? I heard the Williams Family had a big welcome party for you."

Robert's face was delicate and handsome. With a faint smile, he replied, "The welcome here is much more important. I know my priorities."

Herman provoked, "That's really a shame the Williams Family's efforts went to waste. Anyone would think the setup was for your brother. Who would've thought they'd go all out for an illegitimate child."

The atmosphere instantly got tense.

After saying that, Herman asked, "You don't mind me saying that, do you? After all, your birth is something you can't change."

The mockery in his eyes was intense, full of provocation!
