Chapter 603 Are You Dreaming

Mary fell silent.

Facing the combined pressure from Sean and Shirley, Mary had no room to resist and could only nod in agreement, "Fine, tomorrow then."

Sean immediately broke into a happy smile, his eyes sparkling like stars, making it hard for anyone watching not to feel a bit softened.

The sky gradually darkened, the last traces of orange on the horizon disappearing, and the lights in the neighborhood began to glow, with sounds of laughter and joy in the distance.

Shirley suddenly said, "Why do I feel like we're a happy family?"

Mary gave her a blank look and then said to Sean, "She's always so outspoken; just ignore her."

A smile appeared on Sean's handsome face as he said, "Her personality is quite cute."

Shirley immediately raised her chin proudly, "Did you hear what he said? And you still want to ignore me? Tell me! Do you not love me anymore?"

Mary remained silent.

She looked at Sean and asked, "By the way, have you encountered any bottlenecks at work recently? Maria hasn't been taking you out for social events much, right?"

Sean's face showed a hint of discomfort when he heard Maria's name. He shook his head and said, "Lately, I've been busy drafting in the office. I've completed several sketches and sent them to clients. Now, I'm just waiting for their feedback. But there's one client's request that I didn't quite understand."

Mary said, "Let's go, I have some free time now, we can discuss it together."

Sean nodded, "Sure."

He walked beside her, starting to talk about the client's request, and Mary listened intently, occasionally offering some suggestions.

Shirley stood behind them, deliberately keeping a bit of distance, then took out her phone and snapped a photo of their backs.

They were right under a streetlight, their shadows overlapping, creating an intimate and romantic atmosphere.

Shirley smirked and posted the photo directly.

No caption was needed; everyone understood the implication.

It wasn't until they entered the elevator that Mary noticed Shirley lagging far behind. She asked, "What are you doing? Why are you so far away from us?"

Shirley, holding her phone, said, "I was messaging someone."

Entering the elevator, she said, "I suddenly remembered I have something to do. How about I leave first and you two continue chatting?"

But before she could leave, Mary stopped her, "What is it? Why don't I know about it?"

Shirley chuckled, "It just came up suddenly..."

Mary said, "It's late, you're not going out. It's not safe."

Feeling wronged, Shirley said, "You're so strict."

As the elevator made its slow climb, it finally stopped at Mary's floor. The doors slid open, revealing Matthew's handsome figure.

Seeing him, Shirley rolled her eyes.

Mary just glanced at him indifferently, saying nothing.

However, Sean frowned, a sharp look flashing in his eyes.

Matthew's cold gaze swept over the three of them, finally landing on Mary as he asked, "Why didn't you wait for me?"

Mary's tone was indifferent, "Is there something you need?"

Matthew stepped in directly. His tall frame made the previously spacious elevator feel cramped.

"Didn't we agree that after cooking, you'd invite me to eat?"

Mary sneered and said, "Are you dreaming?"
