Chapter 305 Did She Really Say That?

Maria finished talking and suddenly got this creepy chill down her spine, making her feel all kinds of uneasy.

She thought, 'Oh crap! My mouth really doesn't learn its lesson!'

"Boss, I've had way too much to drink. Just ignore my rambling," Maria said with an awkward smile, practically begging.

Matthew's icy voice cut through, "Come over and move everything in."

"Okay!" Maria agreed in a flash but didn't dare to hang up right away.

She cautiously asked, "Anything else?"

After a pause, Matthew's deep, magnetic voice came through, "Did she really say that?"

"Huh?" Maria was momentarily lost.

But Matthew just hung up on her.

Maria blinked, totally confused, and after a long moment, she finally started the car and headed towards Montagu Mansion.

Maria thought, ' Matthew is so hard to read.'

Mary sold the house and immediately spilled the news to Shirley.

Lately, she hadn't been chatting much with Shirley.

Because the signal on Shirley's end was crap, it seemed like they were in some kind of primitive jungle.

Mary didn't quite get it.

She wondered, 'Why the heck do they have to go into a jungle to shoot a film?'

This time, Shirley called directly.

Mary answered, "Hey, you got a signal over there?"

Shirley squatted on a small hill, fiddling with a blade of grass, and said with a disgusted look, "Mary, you wouldn't believe where I am and what's going on. Herman, that jerk, I really wanna strangle him!"

Mary said, "Chill out."

Shirley's voice sounded pitiful, "You have no idea, I'm covered in mosquito bites. These jungle mosquitos are huge! It's like they're on steroids, it's terrifying!"

Mary frowned. "How long will the shooting take over there?"

Shirley said, "I don't know, it depends on Herman."

Mary was a bit worried and said, "Why don't you come back first? There are other ways to pay off the debt."

But Shirley said, "It's okay, this is the last schedule. Once the shooting is done, I'll come back. Besides, I'm not the only one suffering; that jerk is getting bitten too."

Mary sighed helplessly, "Sometimes, Shirley can be so stubborn."

Just as she was about to say something, Shirley suddenly lowered her voice and said, "That jerk is calling me again. I'll go over first. We'll talk when I get back."

"Okay," Mary responded, and the call was quickly cut off.

Shirley came down from the hill and walked to the camp, where she saw Herman sitting on a small stool, trying to cool off with a big fan.

She walked over with a blank expression and asked, "Do you need to poop or pee?"

Herman's mouth twitched wildly!

He thought, 'Why is Shirley so gorgeous but talks so crudely!'

He looked at her coolly and said, "I'm thirsty. Go get me some water."

Shirley's eyes swept over; the cup was right next to him, and the kettle was next to the cup.

She closed her eyes and cursed inwardly, 'I have to endure! These days, Herman has been torturing me in every possible way, like a madman. I swear that once I get back, I would avoid him at all costs!'

Herman watched her pour water for him, her expression as if she was about to dump the kettle on his head.

He thought, 'Shirley's endurance is quite impressive. Let's see how long she can hold out.'
