Mary no longer paid attention to Matthew and lay down by herself, closing her eyes.
Matthew stared at her for a while before saying, "Mary, you're the one who insisted on suing for divorce. If anything happens to me, I'll blame you."
Mary looked at him, "Are you being reasonable? If you divorce me now and we handle it quietly, what could possibly go wrong?"
Matthew replied, "Because I don't want to."
Mary was speechless.
So, because she insisted on the divorce, if something happened to him, he would blame her?

In the following days, Sean came every day, either bringing snacks or fruit for Mary.
Another week passed, and Mary saw on the news that the DK Group was already facing a financial shortage, with a massive employee exodus—a sign of impending bankruptcy.
The Montagu Group's suppression of the DK Group had reached a frenzied level, as if they wouldn't stop until the DK Group went bankrupt.
Sean's voice came as he walked in with a fruit salad he had made.
"Mary. Try this; it tastes good." He placed the fruit salad in front of her.
Mary looked helpless, "If I keep eating like this, by the time I get discharged, I might really become fat."
Sean smiled slightly, "You look better with a bit more weight."
Mary, however, refused, "No, I don't want to be fat."
Sean's eyes were full of amusement, "Eat, these are just fruits, you won't get fat."
Mary couldn't refuse and had to accept it.
Seeing her watching the news, Sean asked, "Are you also following the DK Group's situation?"
Mary said, "No, I turned on the TV and it was being reported."
Sean said, "This issue has been quite big lately. Hasn't Matthew not come for several days?"
"Yes." Mary nodded, "It's good that he doesn't come."
She had a few peaceful days, a rare enjoyment.

Mary paused, "Not worried."

Mary remianed silent.
At that moment, her phone rang. She took a look and saw it was the lawyer Robert had introduced to her.
She said, "Mr. Scott, what's going?"
Mr. Scott said, "Ms. Smith, I have prepared all the relevant materials and can file the lawsuit at any time."
Mary slowed down her eating, and after a while, she said, "Then go ahead and file it."
"Okay." Mr. Scott responded and then hung up the phone.
Mr. Scott was given full responsibility for this matter, leaving Mary only to show up at certain specified times. It was a very hassle-free arrangement.
Matthew was now a trending topic, and his every move was being watched.
As soon as the divorce lawsuit announcement was made, it immediately attracted widespread attention. Consequently, the DK Group's stock price plummeted again, on the verge of halting.
This was a major blow to the DK Group.
On Mary's side, however, it was a time of joy.
Shirley was very happy, cursing Matthew to go bankrupt sooner every day, and even buying a bouquet of flowers to place in the hospital room daily.
Mary was about to say something when Linda pushed open the hospital room door and walked in.
