Chapter 205 Wasn't It Him Who Bought It?
Mary was shocked, staring at the hot cocoa in her hand. 'Didn't he buy this?' She wondered.
But Matthew's indifferent look seemed genuine; he didn't appear to be lying.
Forcing a bitter smile, she had thought he remembered and knew what she'd been through, buying her hot cocoa to comfort her.
Guess she was wrong.
She took a deep breath, tossed the drink in the trash, and followed him into Montagu Mansion.
They went straight upstairs to the bedroom.
Matthew unbuttoned his collar and orderedcoldly, "Go take a shower."
Mary silently complied, heading to the shower without a word.
Matthew noticed and felt even more irritated.
The sound of water filled the room, and Mary's silhouette was visible through the frosted glass. Matthew sat on the sofa, elbows on his thighs, staring at the glass with a complex expression.
His throat felt dry, and he tugged at his collar, trying to ease his irritation.
He got up and left the bedroom, heading to the guest room to shower.
When Mary came out wrapped in a towel, Matthew was gone. She sighed in relief and started drying her hair.
But halfway through, her towel was suddenly yanked away.
A chill hit her, and she quickly tried to cover herself.
But she had just showered and had no clothes on. What could she cover?
A jeer came from behind, and Matthew's strong arm wrapped around her waist. Seeing her startled look, a hint of interest sparked in his eyes.
He leaned close to her ear, "What are you covering? Haven't I seen it all?"
Mary's body stiffened.
Matthew noticed the redness at the corners of her eyes; she had a great figure.
He grabbed her chin and kissed her deeply, murmuring, "Mary, you promised me, you can't go back on your word."
Mary's eyes filled with tears.
'This bastard!' She cursed silently in mind
When Mary woke up, she felt sore and weak all over, especially in her waist, as if her body wasn't her own.
