Chapter 417 Seeking Forgiveness

Matthew kept quiet while the butler greeted Mary. She gave a soft smile and left.

Seeing Matthew's sour face and the tense vibe, the butler decided to remain silent.

Mary got to the studio and saw a bunch of worried folks blocking the entrance, with Felix leading the pack.

Felix rushed over, looking super apologetic. "I'm really sorry. I drank too much last night and messed up big time. Can you please just forget about it?"

The others came over too, their eyes practically begging Mary.

Mary's face stayed cool. "You didn't say that last night."

Felix slapped himself. "I screwed up, and I'm really sorry. I promise it won't happen again. How about you handle all our company’s projects from now on?"

Mary's eyes had a hint of sarcasm.

If it weren't for the waiter who saved her last night, who knows what would've happened. And now Felix wanted to just brush it off?

She looked at Maria, who had come out, and said, "Call security."

Maria nodded, pushed through the crowd, and said, "Don't block the entrance. You're holding up our business."

She then grabbed Mary's arm and took her back to the office.

Once the door was closed, the noise outside was muffled.

Maria asked, "What exactly happened last night?"

Mary said, "Felix wanted to change the blueprints. I went to find him, but he wouldn't let me leave and insisted I stay and drink with him."

Maria frowned. "How can he be so shameless?"

At that moment, Catherine chimed in mockingly. "It's just a drink. What's the big deal? The studio is just starting, and we need projects. If drinking can get us some projects, why not?"

Catherine sat at her desk, giving Mary a mocking look.

Mary looked at her. "If you're willing, then you go."

Catherine sneered. "If only I had a pretty face, I would have been the senior designer of this studio long ago."

Maria frowned. "Catherine, focus on your work. Everyone relies on their own abilities. If you want to be a senior designer, provide some impressive blueprints."

Catherine muttered something and turned away.

Maria asked, "Are you okay today? If you're not feeling well, you can go home and rest."

Mary smiled faintly. "I'm good."

Maria nodded.

Outside, the group of people was still standing there, showing no intention of leaving.

Someone asked, "Mr. Reed, what do we do now? She refuses to forgive us, and we'll be out of a job."

Someone else chimed in, "Yeah, last night you told us this woman was very pretty and just an ordinary designer, nothing special. How come she has the backing of the DK Group?"

Another one said, "Mr. Reed, you've really screwed us over."
