Chapter 427 Saw Your Wife
Mary stepped out of the restroom, passing by the elevator just as Herman exited and spotted her.
He was on the phone, caught a glimpse of her, raised an eyebrow, and said, "Guess who I just saw at No. 9 Club?"
On the other end, Matthew replied coldly, "Your father?"
Herman cursed and said, "No, it's your wife!"
Matthew's tone turned icy. "Are you sure you didn't see wrong?"
Herman sneered. "I'm not blind. She walked right past me. She looked obviously drunk. Her nightlife is really something."
Matthew hung up immediately.
Herman looked at his phone. "What's his problem?"
Curious about who Mary was with, Herman headed to the private room. The music was low, and through the frosted glass, he saw there weren't many people inside.
He peeked in and saw Mary clinking glasses with a guy. Her nightlife was indeed lively!
Herman snapped a photo and sent it to Matthew. As he was about to leave, he noticed Shirley with her arm around the guy, her face flushed from drinking. A wave of displeasure rose in Herman's heart. He walked straight in.
He walked in with his hands in his pockets, looking relaxed, and said with a smile, "Just you guys? Isn't it a bit too quiet?"
Mary and Shirley looked over at him.
Shirley immediately said, "What's the matter? Get out."
Herman raised an eyebrow. "Why so grumpy? Can't I just join in for some fun?"
Shirley answered, "No, it's after work hours. I don't want to see you at all."
Herman, however, had no intention of leaving. He sat down on the sofa, his gaze falling on Sean's face with a hint of coldness. "And who might this be?"
Shirley said, "What's it to you?"
Mary squinted and asked, "Is there something you need?"
Herman said, "I told you, I'm just here to join the fun."
Mary said, "As you can see, your presence is killing the fun."
Herman fell silent.
Matthew's words were harsh, and he didn't expect Mary's to be just as cutting. They really were a couple.
Shirley said, "Did you hear that? You're not welcome here. Please leave, and don't let the door hit you on the way out!"
Herman squinted his eyes. Being repeatedly told to leave was a first for him. He had been pampered since childhood and had never been treated like this.
He suddenly said, "Shirley, I have some ideas about the design of that villa."
Shirley shook her head. "We'll talk about it at work tomorrow."
Herman replied, "I'll have forgotten at that time."
Shirley said, "That's perfect then."
Herman squinted. "When I forget important things, I get in a bad mood. If that villa project doesn't progress, my mood will get worse, and the designer will be the one to suffer."
Shirley fell silent and cursed inwardly.
Then she put on a smile, picked up her glass, and walked over to Herman. "You can tell me your ideas now, Mr. Adams. I'll revise the drawings and send them to you to see if you like them."
