Chapter 134 How is it Shameless to Kiss My Wife?

Matthew's icy stare landed on Shirley, sending a shiver down her spine. She quickly looked away.

His gaze then flicked to Robert, but it was just a glance before he turned to Mary. "You think it's cool to bring a strange guy home without asking me first?"

Mary let out an exasperated laugh. "This is my home. Why do I need your permission to bring friends over?"

With one hand in his pocket, Matthew kept his cool. "Are we divorced?"

Mary pressed her lips together.

"Since we're not divorced, you're still my wife. This house is marital property, which means what's yours is mine," Matthew said calmly.

Mary's voice turned icy as she fought back her anger. "Do you want to make a scene here?"

Matthew smirked. "Do you? Are you sure you want everyone to know about our marriage issues?"

Mary went silent.

Shirley couldn't hold back. "If it weren't for your stubbornness, Mary might not even be your wife right now!"

"Is that so?" Matthew's tone dropped a few degrees.

Sensing danger, Mary tried to intervene, but Matthew suddenly pulled her close and kissed her.

Mary's eyes widened in shock!

Shirley, stunned, pointed at Matthew. "You're shameless!"

Matthew pulled back, grinning at Shirley. "I'm just kissing my wife. How's that shameless?"

"You!" Shirley was so mad she couldn't speak.

Mary shoved him away and wiped her lips furiously. "Are you out of your mind?"

Matthew's eyes darkened as he watched her. Then he turned to Robert. "Mr. Williams, since you're here, would you like to come in?"

Robert's smirk was insolent. "Mr. Montagu, since you invited me, I'd love to."

Mary's heart sank. She remembered Matthew's warning last night in the bathtub to stay away from Robert, yet now he was inviting Robert in.

Something was definitely off!

Mary quickly turned to Robert. "You should go."

"It's alright," Robert smiled.

Mary insisted. "I insist."

Robert raised an eyebrow.

Sensing the tension, Shirley chimed in. "Mr. Williams, maybe next time? Let's go."

Mary shot Shirley a grateful look.

Seeing Mary's earnest gaze, Robert nodded. "Alright, call me if you need help."

With that, he turned and left with Shirley.

As they got into the elevator, Mary finally exhaled. But then she felt a grip on her collar.

Matthew dragged her into the room. Once the door shut, he spun her around and pinned her against it.

His handsome face now had a cold edge. "Mary, are you ignoring what I said?"

Still fuming, Mary pushed him away. "Why should I listen to you?"

Amused by her defiance, Matthew's eyes gleamed dangerously. "You asked for this."

He stepped forward, hoisted her over his shoulder, and headed for the bedroom.
