Chapter 364 He Won't Let Go of What He Wants

Matthew's grip on her tightened suddenly, like he wanted to fuse her into his very being.

"No way," his voice was rough, holding her close. "Mary, I'm not divorcing you."

Mary shut her eyes for a moment. "Then let Gerald go."

This time, Matthew didn't move or say a word.

After almost a minute of silence, he let go of her, cupped her face, and said, "Mary, I'll make it up to you. I can give you anything you want, except for these two things."

Mary let out a cold laugh. "You're such a hypocrite. You say you can give me anything, but you refuse everything I ask for."

Matthew pressed his lips together, not reacting to her accusations and mockery.

He gazed at her tear-streaked face, reached out to wipe her tears, and said softly, "Mary, you can ask for anything else."

Mary pushed his hand away. "I'm not interested in anything else."

Looking at her now cold face, her lips swollen from his kisses, there was a hint of intimacy, but her expression was icy.

It was like she hadn't been moved at all.

He just looked at her, not speaking for a long time.

Mary pushed him away and said, "Leave. I need to rest."

She was really tired and sleepy.

She didn't care about Matthew anymore, went straight into the room, and lay down on the bed.

But Matthew didn't leave.

He went to the bathroom to take a shower. Without any clothes, he came out naked and, after lying on the bed, pulled her into his arms.

Feeling his skin, Mary opened her eyes abruptly. "Get out!"

Matthew said, "I'll stay with you."

After what had happened, she must be scared.
He wasn't planning on doing anything, and he wasn't in the mood. He just wanted to be near her.

Mary looked into Matthew's eyes and found it laughable!

Just a few hours ago, he was cold and ruthless, telling her to get out of the car.

How long had it been? Now he was acting like a completely different person!

He did whatever he wanted!

But she wasn't going to play along!

Mary got out of bed and went to lie down on the couch in the living room.

She didn't want to be in the same space as him!

Matthew noticed this, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes, but he quickly suppressed it.

He didn't go out immediately. He waited until her breathing outside became even, then got up and walked over, picking her up.

But when he put her on the bed, he saw tears streaming from the corners of her eyes.

She was mumbling something, "Divorce, please? Matthew, I don't like you. I haven't liked you for a long time. Can you let me go?"

Matthew leaned in to listen carefully, and his face darkened instantly.

No way. He wouldn't agree to a divorce. He couldn't stand the thought of another man being around her. Even thinking about her being with another man, kissing, hugging, getting married, drove him crazy! She could only stay by his side.

Even if Mary didn't like him anymore, he wouldn't let go!

He had never failed to get what he wanted, whether it was a beloved toy or a person.

Matthew held her in his arms, feeling her soft body close to him, and a hint of a smile appeared in his eyes.

The next day, when Mary woke up, she saw Matthew's well-defined chest. She blinked.

Only then did she realize she was in bed.
