Chapter 532 If You Beg Me

"If you beg me, I might agree to act with you."

Behind her, Matthew's clear voice rang out.

Mary paused and said coldly, "At worst, I'll die."

Beg him?

No way!

Matthew let out a light scoff, "You are brave. Think about everything you've been through: Roy, who always wanted to kill you, Laura, who schemed against you in every way possible. Who else will come after? How much longer can you hold on? Dying sounds easy, but do you dare to die?"

His words struck her heart, breaking her rationality. Her steps unconsciously slowed down, and she clenched the bag in her hand.

She was unwilling to accept it.

Otherwise, she wouldn't have contacted Matthew today.

Did she dare to die?

How could she?

There were still so many things left undone.

Mary closed her eyes, but she also knew that stepping back would mean endless entanglement with him.

He could walk away whenever he wanted, but what about her?

In the end, would she be left in pieces?

Fighting alone or cooperating with him seemed to lead to the same result.

Matthew stared at her silhouette, noticing her hesitation.

He said calmly, "Mary, you only get one chance. If you walk out that door today, I guarantee you'll never see me again."

He meant what he said.

Mary bit her lip hard. She closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, they were clear.

She turned to look at him, "Matthew, do you think you can control me like this? If before, I thought continuing with our agreement would benefit me, now I don't need it. Because I realized that standing by your side is no different from being hurt by those people."

Her eyes were extremely cold as she said, "You're just as bad as they are. I will only hate you."

With that, she turned and left.

Matthew watched her intently but didn't get up. The pain in his body intensified, and he furrowed.

How much it hurts!

He closed his eyes, and then he passed out completely!

Mary left Montagu Mansion, feeling a sense of relief. She took out her phone and called Shirley.

"What is up?"

The call connected quickly, and Shirley's cold voice came through.

Mary sniffed and asked, "I'll buy groceries and cook. How about coming to my place for dinner? I'll make your favorite dishes."

Shirley was silent, and for a while, there was no sound from her on the phone.

Mary tightened her grip on the phone, "How about adding a cheesecake?"

Shirley's voice came through stiffly, "I also want pizza."

"Okay."

Mary laughed, "I'll be waiting for you at home."

Shirley, "Alright."

After hanging up, Mary walked lightly.

Behind her, a servant ran out in a hurry, catching up to her with a face full of anxiety, "Mrs. Montagu, please go back and check on Mr. Montagu!"

Mary's expression was indifferent, "What's wrong with him?"

The servant was frantic, "Mrs. Montagu, he fainted and has a fever!"

Mary's eyelashes trembled, and she said, "Then you should call an ambulance, not ask me to go back. I'm not a doctor."

With that, she walked past the servant. A taxi came by, and she got in and left.

The servant was at a loss but gritted her teeth and turned back.
