Chapter 83 If You File for Divorce, I'll Testify

Mary said coldly, "Where are you?"

Laura was visibly taken aback, not expecting her to ask that, but she still replied, "No. 9 Club, Room 8088."

Mary hung up immediately.

Matthew was busy, but with what, flirting with other women?

Mary narrowed her eyes. They weren't even divorced yet, and Matthew was crossing the line.

If he wouldn't agree to the divorce, then he shouldn't blame her for being impolite!

As dusk fell, the city was gradually enveloped in lights.

Mary arrived at the No. 9 Club but was stopped by the staff. With a polite smile on their faces, they asked, "Excuse me, ma'am. Do you have a reservation?"

Mary replied, "I'm looking for Matthew."

The staff politely responded, "Madam, without a reservation, you cannot enter."

Mary asked, "I can't even go in to look for someone?"

The staff replied, "Unless someone escorts you in, you cannot enter without a reservation."

Mary opened her bag and took out her marriage certificate. Showing it to the staff, she asked, "Do I still need a reservation now?"

The staff was stunned, carefully examining the marriage certificate, afraid that it might be fake.

"Mrs. Montagu, please come in." The staff didn't dare to be negligent and changed their address to her.

The marriage certificate was genuine.

He couldn't afford to offend her. If Mary later complained to Matthew about him, he might be fired.

Mary waved her hand, "Stop following me."

"Sure." The staff turned and left.

Mary walked towards the elevator, and a faint laughter could be heard not far away.

She turned and saw Robert approaching with his blue hair. A diamond earring in his left ear was emitting a dazzling light in the reflection of the lights.

He had a handsome and naughty face with a hint of playful nonchalance.

"What you did at the entrance surprised me," Robert said.

Mary looked at him with joy, "What a coincidence."

Robert raised an eyebrow, "Indeed, quite a coincidence. So, why are you here?"

Mary replied, "Can't you tell from my imposing manner?"

Robert smiled playfully, "To catch a cheater?"

Mary said, "I need to check if that's the case. I can't jump to conclusions yet."

Robert said, "Can you take me along? I love being in the middle of such excitement."

Mary felt a bit helpless but nodded, "Of course, it's no problem. Just be prepared to witness a spectacle."

Robert said, "How can it be a spectacle? I can be your witness. If you file for divorce, I can testify in court."

Mary's eyes lit up. That could work!

But she had to catch Matthew in the act first.

"Let's go!"

She was even a bit eager to see what she would unfold.

Robert saw her excitement, and his interest was piqued.

As they entered the elevator, he asked, "Did you wash the clothes I sent over?"

At his words, Mary was momentarily stunned, then slapped her forehead, "I completely forgot, I'm sorry!"

She had received the package but had yet to open it. She hadn't even thought about it since she had been pretty occupied with work these past few days!

Robert said as he took out his mobile phone, "I knew that. I'd like to add you to my friends list. I'll remind you."

Mary took out her phone, "You don't need to remind me this time. I'll definitely remember."

Robert said, "That's for the best."

The elevator doors opened, and Mary walked straight toward Room 8088. The room had a small window through which she could vaguely see some scenes inside.
