Chapter 109 Take Brady and Ethan Away

After dinner, Sarah noticed Antonio still hadn't shown up, so she quickly changed, dodged everyone, and slipped out solo.

She grabbed a cab to the hotel where Alex was crashing. Alex, who got her call earlier, was already waiting for her.

When Sarah showed up, he went over to greet her.

That night, Antonio had dragged her away, and Alex had been stressing ever since. It wasn't until the following day that Harper informed him she had returned to the villa unharmed.

Over the past few days, he'd been calling her, and she said her injuries weren't too bad, but he couldn't chill until he saw her himself.

Seeing Sarah looking good and in high spirits, Alex finally relaxed but still asked, "Sarah, has Antonio been giving you any crap these past few days?"

Sarah shook her head, saying, "Nah, I've mostly been cooped up in my room and haven't run into him. But let's not dive into that. I'm here to ask you for a favor."

Hearing this, Alex's face got serious.

From what he knew, she wouldn't ask for help unless it was something big.

Alex nodded. "You got it. I'll do whatever I can."

Sarah's face turned serious too, and she said, "I need you to get Brady and Ethan out of here, fast."

Alex looked puzzled, asking, "Why?"

A dark look crossed Sarah's eyes. "That night, I showed up at the banquet because Antonio threatened me with Brady. Five years ago, Brady thought Antonio had killed me and, in a moment of rage, stabbed Antonio. Antonio's been holding that over his head, threatening to throw Brady in jail."

"Plus, Antonio's run into Ethan a few times. Even though he didn't get a good look at him, he's probably suspicious. If he starts digging, he'll find out about Ethan. If I decide to go head-to-head with Antonio and go through the legal process for a divorce, I can't have any loose ends."

Alex listened, his face getting darker and angrier.

He hadn't realized Antonio was such a jerk. Sarah couldn't stay with him any longer!

"What about you? Aren't you leaving?" he asked.

Sarah shook her head, looking helpless. "I can't leave yet. I need to get the divorce papers first. Otherwise, Antonio will just use the excuse of us not being divorced to keep bothering me. And Harper is still here. Harper likes Antonio a lot and doesn't want to leave."

Getting Antonio to sign the divorce papers was already a nightmare, and Harper's attachment to Antonio made it even worse.

But no matter what, nothing could shake her resolve.

Five years ago, Antonio betrayed her and tried to make her miscarry. Now, she saw clearly how violent and unreasonable he was.

For the sake of her kids and herself, she had to cut ties with Antonio for good!

Alex saw the mix of helplessness and determination in Sarah's eyes, and his own eyes flickered.

He hadn't spilled the real reason he was here.

Sarah thought he was just here to talk business with Antonio for a partner, but she didn't know that the "president" he mentioned was actually Brian.

Brian couldn't show up himself, so he sent Alex to mess with Antonio on behalf of the group.

But seeing how much time had passed and Antonio still not budging, it seemed like he really didn't plan to play ball with BrianTech Solutions Inc.

Getting the arrogant Antonio to publicly apologize and admit his mistakes was harder than climbing Mount Everest.

So, they had to bail.

Even though this wasn't what Alex wanted, he still nodded and said, "Alright, I promise. Since the deal's off, I'll get them out of here ASAP."

Sarah looked at Alex with gratitude and a bit of guilt. "You guys should leave tomorrow. The longer you stay, the more on edge I get."

Even one more day could spell trouble.

If Antonio found out the truth, who knows what would happen.

Plus, she wasn't just dealing with Antonio, but also Philip and Lisa. Lisa had always been hostile towards her and Brady, blaming them for everything.

And Philip? He had it out for her, always targeting and framing her. He might go after Brady and Ethan too.

Realizing how tough things were, Sarah felt a chill run through her, her face going a bit pale.

Seeing her like this, Alex felt a pang of sympathy. He gently placed a hand on her shoulder and said softly, "Don't worry, focus on your stuff. I'll handle the rest. I'll book the first flight tomorrow morning and get Brady and Ethan out safely."

His voice was as gentle and warm as a spring breeze, yet it carried firm support and a sense of security, calming Sarah's anxious heart a lot.

She looked at Alex, feeling like no words could fully express her gratitude. In the end, she just said, "Thank you."

Having a friend like Alex was the luckiest thing in her life!

Alex smiled, looking deeply into Sarah's clear eyes. "You never have to thank me. Sarah, we'll be waiting for you abroad. Good luck."

Time was tight, and she had to get back before Antonio returned to the villa. They exchanged quick goodbyes without much chit-chat.

Sarah headed straight back to the villa, while Alex, back in his hotel room, immediately booked three tickets for the next morning's flight: one for himself, and the others for Ethan and Brady.
