Chapter 956 Eden Became a Star

The two of them finally cleared the air, and it felt like the whole Valencia family was basking in the sunshine.

Not long after dinner, Mary arrived, driven by the chauffeur Timothy had arranged.

She had come to Capital City specifically to cheer up Sarah, and she was well-prepared for it.

"Sarah, the weather's been great lately. How about we take the kids out for some fun? Staying cooped up at home is no good; we might as well get out and about."

"Sure thing."

Sarah had no objections and teased her a bit, "But can you bear to leave Dr. Reed behind?"

At the mention of Timothy, Mary couldn't help but blush, recalling the morning at the hotel. "He's got his own things to do..."

Timothy was busy these days, attending several academic conferences.

He wouldn't have time for her.

Antonio walked over, phone in hand, looking like he had just finished a call. "Don't worry, Dr. Reed said he has some free time in between and will come find us."

Sarah chimed in with a playful tone, "Not us, I bet..."

"Sarah!"

Mary pretended to be angry and gave her a light slap. "Let's get going before it gets dark and we can't see the road up the mountain!"

"Alright, alright, I'll cease my teasing." Sarah was in high spirits, her voice upbeat. "Let's pack up quickly and bring the kids' tents. We can camp out."

Everyone hurriedly packed up and got in the car.

A few hours later.

The car stopped at a hot spring resort halfway up the mountain.

Sarah stepped out of the car and was taken aback by the well-developed resort in front of her. "I can't believe we're here!"

This resort was a project that the Harrington Group and the Valencia Group had collaborated on.

She and "amnesiac Antonio" had even come here for an inspection!

Mary, pulling a suitcase with one hand and holding Harper's hand with the other, smiled. "Surprised? I specifically asked Antonio before booking it. He said this place holds a lot of memories for you two."

Not just memories, but also some thrilling moments.

Sofia and the others, who had arrived in another car with Ethan and Ryan, walked over upon hearing this.

"The intricate tapestry of love and resentment woven between them could fill a book," Sofia remarked.

Alex patted her head. "It's nice to reminisce sometimes. Maybe we can follow their example next time."

Sarah sighed with emotion. "I never thought we'd come back here with so many people. It's like a blessing from above... Let's just enjoy our time here and not think about anything else."

With that, they all shared a knowing smile.

The resort had been developed into a renowned high-end leisure spot in the Capital City.

Thanks to Antonio's arrangements, the hotel had plenty of rooms reserved for them.

After a long day of travel, everyone retired to their rooms to rest after dinner.

Sarah, having eaten a bit too much, pulled Antonio out for a walk. They unknowingly ended up at the cave where she had once fallen, both stopping in their tracks.

The night was serene, but her eyes shone brightly.

"Honestly, were you up to no good back then?"

"Up to no good?"

Antonio gently pinched her nose, his voice filled with affection. "I didn't have my memory back then, but I felt like you were a part of me. Seeing you in pain hurt me deeply."

Sarah looked up at him, the night highlighting Antonio's sharp features, and felt a warm flutter in her heart.

"Maybe we were destined to be together."

She tightened her grip on his hand, their fingers interlocked.

"No matter what happens, we'll always find our way back to each other, being each other's rock."

"Of course."

Antonio couldn't help but cup her face and plant a tender kiss. "No matter what happens, I'll always be by your side, your steadfast support."

Sarah's eyes welled up with tears, touched and warmed.

She held his hand, gazing at the night sky. "Do you think... our Eden is watching over us now?"

Stars twinkled brightly above.

Antonio pulled her into his arms, his deep voice soothing. "Eden is in a good place, watching over us in her own way, knowing how much we love her."

Sarah clung to his waist, tears streaming down uncontrollably, nodding heavily. "She..."

The next day, Timothy joined them after his conference, and they explored the resort, even venturing into the forested area.

Seeing these familiar places, Sarah couldn't help but recall past memories, feeling a sense of nostalgia. "I once picked mushrooms here. I wonder if there are any edible ones this season."

"Mushrooms?"

Mary's eyes lit up. "Let's go check it out! It sounds like fun!"

The kids, excited by her enthusiasm, skipped ahead, stopping occasionally to ask about unfamiliar plants and animals.

The three men followed at a distance, their gentle gazes fixed on the women and children ahead, occasionally discussing business matters.

Sofia, holding Ethan's hand, looked around and sighed. "Honestly, this resort project turned out great. It offers urban relaxation while preserving the natural forest."

People came here to unwind, and activities like these, reconnecting with nature, brought genuine comfort.

Sarah nodded. "We have to give credit to Mr. Valencia for his vision."

They chatted and laughed, finding quite a few mushrooms along the way. The kids were thrilled and insisted on helping with the preparation.

James and the hotel staff took them to the kitchen, while Sarah, rubbing her sore neck, suggested, "I'm a bit tired. How about we soak in the hot springs?"

"Sounds good!"

Sofia agreed, then turned to the three men. "Tonight, we're on our own. You guys can take a break!"

Mary almost burst out laughing at her phrasing, quickly lowering her head.

She couldn't shake the feeling of a heated gaze on her.

Could it be... Timothy?

The thought made her ears turn red.

Sarah noticed everything, casually putting an arm around Mary's shoulder. "Yes, the three of us will go soak. Dr. Reed, don't worry, we'll absolutely take excellent care of Mary."

Mary lowered her head even more. "Sarah, what are you saying..."

"Alright." Timothy's deep voice sent a shiver down her spine. "I'll leave her in your capable hands."

Sarah playfully pinched Mary's cheek. "He's gone."

Sofia, watching with amusement, shook her head. "Mary, you're a goner. Dr. Reed doesn't even have to try, and you're already head over heels."
