Chapter 249 Sharing a Room with Antonio

Brian, on his end, never gave up on tracking Sarah's location. He spent his days keeping video calls with his siblings, collectively working to find Sarah. But for a long time, Sarah's phone signal remained weak, sometimes present, sometimes not, and her location kept jumping around.

Brian knew that these location updates were unreliable, likely due to magnetic interference.

Impatience rose in his heart, but he didn't show it.

Ethan could see his brother's worried expression. Acting mature beyond his years, he sighed and instructed Harper, "Harper, send a message to Mommy's phone, telling her that we are safe now. If she is safe too, she must be worrying about us."

Harper nodded in agreement, “Okay, I’ll send it. We will definitely find Mommy”…"

Just then, Brian's computer screen finally showed a blinking red dot indicating an accurate location!

Brian stood up abruptly, excitedly exclaiming, "Look! It's Mommy's location! It's showing!"

The two children on the other end of the video heard that and almost fell off the couch in excitement.

They quickly gathered around the phone screen, watching Brian's side of the location tracking system closely.

“It’s Mommy! Mommy’s there”…"

Harper quickly checked the location; it was a small island.

Brian's eyes lit up, ready to capture clearer information, but the red dot disappeared in the blink of an eye. Now, the three children exclaimed in disappointment, and their morale sank again.

Brian was devastated, his little hands clenched into fists. It seemed he needed to improve this tracking system even more. The current technology was just too outdated!

It was all in vain, merely a fleeting moment.

“Mommy”…"

"Don't worry, Mommy will definitely be fine. I will strengthen the tracking technology as soon as possible, and we will find Mommy!" Brian quickly reassured them.

Harper felt a little reassured, but she still nodded and mentally noted the location of the fishing village where the tracking briefly indicated.

On the small island…The sunlight shimmered on the sparkling sea, creating a dazzling halo. Sarah sat by the sea, fiddling with her phone.

Thinking it would be another futile attempt, she didn't expect the phone screen to suddenly light up!

"Oh, Antonio, look, it's on!" Sarah excitedly grabbed Antonio's arm, her worries instantly replaced by hope.

But before she could enjoy it for a few seconds, the phone screen abruptly dimmed again.

“What’s going on! Why did it shut down again…"

In the end, she could only sigh helplessly, her eyes red as she stared at the endless sea in front of her.

Antonio also felt uneasy, but he couldn’t show it.

In this situation, someone had to shoulder the pressure and not lose composure.

He leaned his warm chest against her, comforting her, “It’s alright, I’m here.

"Let's go back and have something to eat first. Take it slow..."

Sarah looked at him and hesitated before speaking, "I can't eat."

Antonio furrowed his brows and gently kissed her forehead. "Since we're preparing to go back, it's even more important to eat well and drink enough to gain strength. Otherwise, the children will be sad if they find out that you're like this."

Antonio's comforting words made Sarah's stiffness ease slightly.

"Don't be too pessimistic. There's always a way out. Although this fishing village is isolated from the outside world, think about how they ended up on this island. Just because they can come, doesn't mean we can't leave, right?"

He continued speaking, his voice low and soothing.

Sarah looked at his calm face and suddenly felt herself being oddly pulled into a more positive state.

"Yes, instead of being sad and upset here, it's better to keep ourselves in a good state. That way, we have a better chance of leaving this fishing village."

"Well, let's go back first. Richard's family has been taking care of us these past few days, we shouldn't make them worry."

The two held hands as they walked across the beach, leaving a trail of footprints on the sandy beach. The sweet image of them huddled together reflected in the rippling water.

As soon as they returned to Richard's house, they saw Richard's mother tidying up the room where Antonio was staying. The two exchanged a glance, walking over with a puzzled expression.

Seeing the couple return, Richard's mother didn't stop her hands and explained, "Oh, you're back? I realized only later that you two are a couple. I made you sleep in separate rooms before, so now I'll move you into one room."

Upon hearing this, Sarah's face flushed slightly, feeling a bit awkward. She knew Richard's mother meant no harm but simply believed that a couple should naturally sleep together.

After all, outsiders wouldn't know about the true dynamics between her and Antonio, and she didn't want to explain so much. She couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

But before she could say anything, Antonio had already taken the initiative to thank Richard's mother, "Thank you."

He appeared calm and natural, as if it was something that happened regularly.

Richard's father watched the couple with one showing affection and the other shyness, feeling a touch of emotion in her heart. Fortunately, he had smothered his wife's hopes in time. Otherwise, if she stubbornly persisted and interfered, it wouldn't be good!

Meanwhile, Richard, squatting outside the house, silently watched this scene and felt a pang of uneasiness in his heart.

After a while, they all had dinner together. Sarah tried to liven up the atmosphere and always brought up happy topics to make the family laugh.

Richard would occasionally look up at her but would always be met with Antonio's intimidating gaze.

Until night fell and there were only the two of them left in the room, the atmosphere suddenly became subtle.

They had never shared a room before in the villa...

Sarah's face turned red, and her palms were sweaty.

Antonio looked at her with a hint of a smile and asked, "Why are you so nervous?''

It seemed like he was teasing her on purpose.

She glanced back at him, feeling a bit awkward, and instinctively retorted, "When have I been nervous?"

Although she denied it, her gaze fell upon the only bed in the room. She instantly closed her eyes, her face blushing even more deeply.

Seeing Sarah's shy face, Antonio seemed to be mesmerized.

The room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop, but Antonio could hear his heartbeat growing louder and louder, almost afraid that Sarah would find him annoying if she heard it.

Sarah seemed to sense something and glanced at him.

This glance was like a fuse, instantly igniting the pent-up emotions in his heart, causing them to explode.

Antonio leaned in closer to her and said, "Sarah..."
