Chapter 594 First, Take Off Your Clothes
Sarah was originally humming a tune, feeling quite good.
Ethan was very well-behaved today and went to bed early. She had arrived in a new environment today, and the scenery here was quite nice. It was rare to have a private space to relax.
The hot springs here were all natural, with a faint sulfur smell, but after soaking, she felt completely refreshed, as if her blood was flowing more smoothly.
She planned to soak for a while longer and then check if Ethan had fallen asleep.
After all, it was the first time the child was sleeping alone outside, and she was a bit worried he might kick off the covers.
Hearing faint footsteps behind her, Sarah thought it was Ethan who couldn't sleep and had come to find her.
She turned her head with a smile, intending to tease her son a bit, but when she saw who it was, she froze!
She actually saw Benjamin!
How could it be him?!
Sarah's internal alarm bells rang loudly, and she sank a bit deeper into the water, instinctively raising her hands to cover herself.
She was thankful she still had a towel on, but it was just a towel!
Sarah was extremely flustered. Meeting him at such a private moment made her mind a bit chaotic.
She said, angrily, "Does Benjamin have something to discuss with me? But no matter what it is, it's not appropriate to enter someone else's room so late at night!"
Does he have no manners at all?
Most importantly, how did he get in?!
The distance between them wasn't very far; one was standing on the shore, and the other was soaking in the water.
The water in the hot spring was very clear, and the towel could be seen swaying with Sarah's movements, revealing her body to some extent.
The atmosphere was extremely awkward, and in this mist-filled space, a strong sense of ambiguity arose.
Benjamin didn't speak, his gaze locked on Sarah.
There was a fire in his eyes as if it could burn through the air and scorch her skin.
Sarah's face turned bright red. She wasn't an inexperienced girl and could clearly see what was hidden in his eyes.
She leaned back against the pool wall, feeling a bit safer, and angrily said, "Benjamin, what exactly do you want?!"
Her anger made her blush from her face to every inch of skin visible.
Benjamin's throat tightened, feeling dry and uncomfortable.
It felt like his whole body was on fire.
It was unfamiliar, yet very familiar.
He turned his head with confusion, grabbed a glass of cold water from the table, and drank it.
Then, in a hoarse voice, he said, "I should be asking you what you want. Since you're in the room and your son knocked on the door, why didn't you answer?"
Sarah was very angry, but she was stunned by this question.
She remarked, "When did my son knock on the door? I didn't hear any knocking."
She was the only one in the room. If Ethan had really knocked, how could she not have heard it?
Benjamin scrutinized her expression, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"Didn't hear?" he questioned.
He laughed, and scoffed, "How could you not hear? Or are you just saying that on purpose? I get it. So late at night, you and your son teamed up to trick me, just to invite me in to watch you soak in the hot spring?"
Sarah looked at him in disbelief. The expression on his face was so frivolous as if he thought she was a very casual woman.
On purpose, invite him?
He was insulting her.
Sarah tightened her grip on the towel, feeling a wave of humiliation. The anger that had subsided a bit surged back even more fiercely.
She sneered, "Benjamin, you're overthinking it. Someone like you isn't worth my effort."
Where did this man get his confidence?
Did he think she would team up with a child to seduce him?!
Crazy!
Benjamin remarked, "Really?"
He was feeling very hot and uncomfortable, but he didn't want Sarah to know how much she attracted him.
Benjamin's lips curled into a mocking smile, making him look even more arrogant and wicked. "Or have you achieved your goal and are now saying this on purpose?" he accused.
Playing hard to get, is a common trick used by women.
But.
When other women used it, he might just sneer and not even look at them.
But this woman in front of him indeed made him see her differently.
Sarah saw that he had no intention of restraining himself, and his gaze became even more unscrupulous. She was so angry that she was trembling. If she weren't in the water, she might have lost control and hit him!
"I don't know what nonsense you're talking about! Get out of my room!" Sarah demanded, furiously.
Is this man crazy?!
Appearing in her room out of nowhere was bad enough, but did he really think he was worth pursuing? His words were no different from those of a rogue!
Benjamin stood still, his dark eyes flickering slightly.
Leave?
Since this woman had gone to such lengths to get him here, how could he just leave?
"Sarah, you might not know me well, but I don't like to leave things unfinished. Since I'm here, shouldn't I stay and have a good chat?" Benjamin suggested.
His lips curved into a fleeting smile. He unbuttoned his collar and, with unhurried steps, walked along the edge of the pool towards the steps leading into the hot spring.
From below, his tight, muscular legs looked even longer.
Sarah bit her lip, feeling increasingly nervous.
She was about to curse him out when another thought suddenly crossed her mind.
Last time in the restaurant, she wanted to see if Benjamin had a scar on his shoulder, but he misunderstood her intentions, and she didn't succeed.
Today.
Since he already misunderstood her, why not go along with it?
Benjamin had seen her in the hot spring. If she didn't get a good look at him, wouldn't it be a waste?
Thinking of this, Sarah's heart pounded uncontrollably, as if it would burst out of her chest.
She looked up at the man on the shore, tightly closing her mouth.
All these emotional changes were noticed by Benjamin. His deep eyes seemed like a dark forest, now ablaze, spreading rapidly.
This woman, who had just acted so virtuous, changed her demeanor in an instant.
And she said he wasn't worth her effort. Her calmness showed she liked him, didn't it? She was afraid he would really leave, so she said a few angry words and then stopped.
Benjamin could almost hear his own increasingly rapid heartbeat and the blood rushing through his veins.
He had to admit, "Sarah using a scheme to attract his attention" made him feel very good at this moment.
She was different from those gaudy women outside. Without trying too hard, her inadvertent glances and actions could captivate him.
Benjamin knew this well.
He remained outwardly calm, his steps steady.
The moonlight scattered the starlight, and the surroundings were silent. The warm yellow light illuminated the entire courtyard, creating a perfect atmosphere. The mist from the hot spring seemed to drape a thin veil over the woman inside.
The ambiguous atmosphere spread silently.
"Benjamin" she called out to him.
Sarah organized her words in her mind, her voice trembling with nervousness, as she said, "If you really want to soak in the hot spring, you should take off your clothes first and join me."
