Chapter 420 Their Lives Intertwined
In just a short minute, they had already planned out the rest of their lives together. If Sarah didn't speak up now, Antonio would probably have everything figured out, even for their next lifetime.
"No." Sarah furrowed her brow and shook her head with great seriousness.
Antonio's eyes flickered with a touch of emotion. "Darling, I knew you couldn't bear to part with me."
"No." Sarah shook her head again. "Century Garden is Harper's favorite. Even if I'm allergic to dog hair, I still want Harper to have the happiest childhood. That dog is not just a dog, but her companion."
Antonio paused for a moment. "So, dear, you won't even let me have a dog?"
Sarah gently caressed Antonio's cheek. "Don't worry, if you become disabled, I'll definitely leave you to live out your days in the villa alone. Then, our children and I will inherit all your wealth and find happiness. I'll even send you a photo every month, to express our longing for you. And in each photo, I will Photoshop you in, proving that you are always in our hearts."
Antonio blinked. This wasn't quite what he had imagined!
"Oh, wait, I shouldn't call it wealth. Let's temporarily call it assets," Sarah said sternly. "We will definitely indulge in all your wealth, travel the world with our memories of you, and send you a photo each month. This way, we can show you that you are forever loved."
Sarah held Antonio's hand tightly with affection. "Believe me, we love you in our hearts."
Antonio pursed his lips. "If that's the case, then we should sign an agreement between the two of us."
"What agreement?"
"An agreement with the condition that my face must be Photoshopped in every photo."
Faced with Antonio's serious expression, Sarah couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Listen to yourself, you're just talking nonsense."
"How can you say it's nonsense? I'm being completely serious," Antonio said.
Antonio embraced Sarah once again.
Deep down, he bore the weight on his heart more heavily than anyone else. It was his actions that had led Serene to her current state. If only he had acted more swiftly, none of the subsequent events would have unfolded.

Sarah's mood eased considerably. Despite Antonio's nonsensical chatter, she recognized his attempts to console her.
Addressing the issue with Serene wouldn't prove simple. Their futures remained intertwined, yet overcoming challenges together with Antonio seemed feasible.
"Sarah, I love you." Antonio leaned in and kissed Sarah on the lips.
Sarah leaned against Antonio's chest, listening to his strong and steady heartbeat. The turmoil in her heart gradually calmed down.
'It's good that everything has been discussed. As long as we can still be together as a family, there is no problem we cannot solve…'
After a while, the doors of the emergency room were opened, and Serene, unconscious, was wheeled out by numerous doctors and nurses.
"Doctors, how is Ms. Jerrett?"
"Will there be any sequelae? Is there any other life-threatening danger?"
"Ms. Jerrett, you must be fine!"
Some shareholders gathered around, some genuine and some feigning concern.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the patient is temporarily out of danger, but we still need to observe the situation. Please refrain from disturbing the patient's recovery. We will send someone to update you on the situation."
After hearing the doctor's words, everyone remained silent.
In truth, not many of these shareholders genuinely cared about Serene's well-being.
Sarah stood up and said, "Doctor, just let me know if there is anything important."
She glanced at Serene, lying pale on the hospital bed, and let out a deep sigh. "Very well, I will come to you later."
The doctor directed the nurses and sent Serene back to the intensive care unit.
The intensive care unit was restricted for outsiders, and the nurses left, leaving only Serene and the doctor.
The doctor closed the door and whispered, "Ms. Jerrett, I've managed to keep everyone away."
At that moment, Serene slowly opened her eyes. "Well done. Keep listening to me, and you won't be left unrewarded."
"Thank you, Ms. Jerrett. If there's anything you need, just give me your orders. I will do my best to fulfill them." The doctor nodded and bowed respectfully to Serene.
Serene was very satisfied and nodded in approval.
This doctor was someone she had bribed long ago.
Whether it was the medical record of her leg injury or the current stomach washing surgery, everything was orchestrated by this doctor.
The purpose was to firmly connect Antonio to her life!
Serene took a sip of water and said, "You don't need me to teach you how to say those words. Handle it yourself. By the way, what are Antonio and Sarah doing?"
