Chapter 134 What Secrets Lie Behind

Everyone's eyes zeroed in on Sarah, but she just shrugged it off, lifting her chin a bit and asking the waiter, "What's the priciest red wine you got here?"

The waiter's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.

Who would've guessed Sarah was the one playing it cool all along!

He quickly rattled off the name of a wine and added, "This bottle's five hundred grand. It's the most expensive red wine we've got, aged for years."

Most folks work their whole lives and can't even dream of that kind of cash.

Sarah looked pleased, smirking and nodding without a second thought. "Alright, I'll take it."

The whole restaurant went nuts.

The kids were totally floored, their eyes popping as they stared at Sarah.

'Sarah is so badass! Isn't that way too expensive?' they pondered.

Antonio was clearly thrown off by Sarah's sudden move, struggling to keep his cool. He frowned and thought, 'Is she trying to one-up me?'

Alex was just as shocked.

He'd only ordered wine to stick it to Antonio's smug attitude.

But what was Sarah up to?

Alex couldn't wrap his head around it. Worried that Sarah had lost it because of Antonio's provocation, he instinctively wanted to stop her.

But Sarah didn't give Alex a chance to butt in.

Her eyes flashed with a mix of disdain and anger.

The next second, Sarah stood up, flashed a sly smile at everyone, and loudly announced, "This bottle of wine is for everyone here to taste."

The room went dead silent for a moment, then everyone was totally stunned.

The once quiet and classy dining spot turned into a full-blown party.

All the customers felt like they'd hit the jackpot and started showering Sarah with thanks and praise.

But Sarah didn't give a damn about any of that. She grabbed the kids and was about to bounce.

The waiter freaked out and quickly asked, "Ma'am, the bill..."

Sarah stopped, turned around, and shot a cold glance at the guys behind her, "Charge it to them."

These two clowns, didn't they have more money than they knew what to do with?

Well, she'd help them out.

She really couldn't get why guys had to be so petty!

With that, Sarah strutted out without looking back, leaving behind a storm of applause and cheers.

Antonio and Alex were left totally frozen.

Today's events taught them a hard lesson: Never mess with a woman.

Right then, Alex finally got it—Sarah was pissed, and his face turned dark as night.

A flicker of regret crossed his eyes. After signing the bill, he hustled to catch up with her.

Seeing this, Antonio narrowed his eyes and jumped up to block Alex's way, growling, "Alex, back off. Sarah's my wife."

Even though Sarah was talking divorce, she'd come back to him eventually.

No other dude should even think about getting close to her.

But Alex just laughed. "Mr. Valencia, you seem to forget you were the one hurting her. "

His smile was dripping with sarcasm. "No matter what went down, I stood by Sarah and the kids, always believing in and protecting them. And you? You never did. That's the difference between us."

Alex's words hit Antonio right where it hurt.

He looked down, lips pressed tight, deep in thought.

Not giving him a second more, Alex suddenly laid it all out, "I like Sarah, that's true, but I've always kept it clean. Still, I'm not giving up on her."

Sarah was amazing; she deserved the best love and protection.

But she got betrayed by Antonio, almost lost her life, and that tore Alex up inside.

From now on, he'd do everything to protect Sarah and the kids and make them happy.

Antonio was triggered by this bold confession, gritting his teeth. "Aren't you scared your actions will piss me off and mess things up for the company backing you?"

It was a threat, but Alex  just smiled..

He raised an eyebrow, flashing a smile that made Antonio feel like there was more to this than he knew.

"Well, our CEO's got my back. If I screw up this deal for Sarah, he wouldn't mind."

How could Antonio know that his boss, Brian, was all in on Alex's pursuit of Sarah?

And those roadblocks set to mess with Antonio? Yeah, that was Brian's doing too.

Alex's look and cryptic words made Antonio squirm.

Especially Alex's slight smile—it made Antonio feel like he was missing a big piece of the puzzle.

Antonio's brow furrowed instinctively, glaring at Alex's smug face.

It was the first time he'd seen someone dare to stand up to him like this.

The CEO of BrianTech Solutions Inc. actually backed Alex in stealing Antonio's wife.

Did these people think he was a joke?
