Chapter 412 Found His Residence!

Antonio was also in a great mood and unconsciously treated his subordinates with more thoughtfulness.

James was initially stunned but didn't think too much about it and took out a purchase contract.

"Mr. Valencia, do you remember our failed cooperation with that multinational company?"

Antonio raised an eyebrow. "What happened?"

"The ownership rights to that piece of land were signed over to Valencia Inc. by the CEO of the other company, Allen, this morning. It officially belongs to us now."

James had worked tirelessly for a whole month on this matter and had been regretful after it fell through. After all, it was a prime piece of land.

He never expected the pleasant surprise to come so suddenly. He received the email early in the morning and was so happy that he didn't even have time to eat breakfast.

Upon hearing the news, Antonio chuckled.

He really didn't expect Brian to have a stubborn yet soft-hearted nature. 'It seems he takes after Sarah in that aspect.'

"Mr. Valencia, do you think the other company has any other motives? They deceived us before, so why would they agree to transfer the ownership rights to us now?"

After the initial excitement wore off, James started analyzing the deeper meaning behind this matter.

Meanwhile, Antonio sat in his chair and smiled. "It's my son showing filial piety."

James was taken aback.

'What's going on with Mr. Valencia today?'

When Antonio arrived, James already sensed that something was off.

'Mr. Valencia couldn't stop smiling, and now he's claiming that the CEO of the other company is his own son?

'How childish.'

"There's nothing else for now, you may leave," Antonio said, in a great mood. "Oh, and don't forget to continue investigating Victor's whereabouts. Once you find him, bring him to me immediately."

"Alright, Mr. Valencia," James replied and left.

Although he wanted to continue discussing Allen's matter with Antonio, he knew that Antonio wasn't in the mood for such discussions now.

At home…Sarah sat in the backyard watching their three children play together while Brian was alone, holding a tablet next to her.

"Son, relax a bit and don't always stare at that tablet," Sarah reminded him.

Despite understanding that Brian had numerous business responsibilities and was frequently occupied, she was reluctant to witness her son constantly immersed in work. She pondered whether mirroring Antonio's lifestyle would eventually deteriorate his health entirely.

"Don't worry, Mommy. I'm relaxing right now." Brian smiled faintly. Just then, Alex sent a message.

Alex: [Brian, I found the place where Victor used to live.]

Brian's expression immediately turned serious.

Brian: [Send me the address, we'll go there now.]

"What happened?"

Sarah noticed that her son's emotions were off. Needless to say, Brian wouldn't choose to hide anything. "Mommy, Alex found Victor's address. Should we go over now?"

"Mhm," Sarah didn't want to waste a moment.

"Should we… Should we let him know?" Brian hesitated.

Sarah glanced at her company schedule. Due to yesterday's events, Antonio also had an urgent meeting to attend today, and he might not be able to make time. "Let's go over first. I'll inform Antonio. It doesn't matter if he comes or not. We're just going to his address to take a look."

Brian nodded understandingly. As the CEO of the company, he understood Antonio's busy schedule that couldn't be disrupted.

After Sarah made arrangements for Harper and the others, she joined Brian to meet up with Alex.

"He lives in a remote area, a poor neighborhood in the city. There are several unfinished buildings and slums there," Alex briefly described the surroundings of Victor's residence in the car.

Sarah and Brian were mentally prepared, but they couldn't help but furrow their brows when they saw Victor's place.

Trash littered everywhere, with constant cursing and even occasional water splashing.

"How could he live in such a place?" Sarah furrowed her brow but didn't feel sorry.

There was nothing worth pitying about Victor.

Alex carried Brian and assisted Sarah in finding Victor's small rental house.

As expected, the rental house was already abandoned, with even daily necessities like clothes and shoes missing.

"It seems like he didn't escape hastily," Sarah immediately saw through his true nature.

Victor obviously knew that his secret had been exposed, so he had packed up and fled.

Brian thoughtfully handed a mask to Sarah and began searching the room.

In the bathroom, he found a discarded toothbrush and a few strands of hair on the pillow.

"Doesn't he even wash his bedsheets?" Brian wrinkled his nose in disgust, placed the collected hair and toothbrush in a sealed bag, and handed it to Alex.

These things were crucial and needed to be taken abroad for identification.

Sarah surveyed the room, her heart sinking. Although she still believed that Victor was her biological father, he proved to be the kind of man who would sell his own child to settle a modest gambling debt, endangering the lives of their entire family.

Such a person wasn't deserving of being a father, or even of being called a human being.

"We've pretty much found everything. Mommy, let's go back. It's too dirty here."

Even though their family didn't have much money before Brian established the company, they didn't live in such conditions.

Sarah nodded and suddenly noticed a box of tissues and a few packaging bags scattered on the floor by the foot of the bed.

Upon closer inspection, they turned out to be takeaway boxes and tissue boxes from a coffee shop.

Sarah picked up the packaging bags and decided to continue.

"Do you think Victor would drink coffee?"

Even if he did, it wouldn't be the type of coffee served in such upscale establishments.

Alex was also puzzled. "I recognize this shop. Only people with membership cards can go inside, and those cards require a certain amount of recharge. How could he have this shop's packaging bag?"

Sarah shook her head, feeling a hint of doubt.

Victor was so poor that he couldn't even afford a meal. How could he possibly go to a place like this...
