Chapter 320 Antonio's Moonlight
"Sarah, is Mr. Jerrett asleep?"
A gentle voice came from behind, but Sarah didn't turn around.
She replied, "Yes, he's already asleep. We talked a lot today, so he must be exhausted."
Antonio walked over and helped Sarah tidy up. "You've worked hard today, Sarah."
"It's not for you to say, Mr. Valencia."
Sarah raised an eyebrow, teasingly.
"I'm just worried about you," Antonio brushed Sarah's nose playfully. "But it's still early. How about we take a stroll?"
Antonio knew that Sarah was still upset about what had happened at the equestrian center.
In the end, it was his fault for going too far. Since Sarah disagreed, they could have continued their discussion at a later date instead of getting into a huge argument.
He had thrown a small tantrum that evening, causing Sarah to feel hurt for such a long time.
Antonio sincerely wanted to apologize to Sarah.
Sarah didn't refuse either. Her mood was unexpectedly complex. It was a good opportunity to take a walk in the garden behind the hospital and calm her mind.
"Sarah, I think I owe you an apology for what happened at the equestrian cente. I'm truly sorry for making you angry."
"I know." Sarah turned around to face Antonio. "I've already accepted your apology. Don't worry about it. I was also a bit too worked up that day."
Antonio held Sarah's hand. "I was too impatient and didn't consider everything. I am willing to do anything for you as long as you're not mad at me."
"Don't worry too much about Ethan. He has always been sensible since he was young. I neglected him in many ways, which made him introverted and somewhat stubborn. However, I think he has accepted you."
"Really?" Antonio's eyes brightened but dimmed immediately. "But I still feel like his mood fluctuates. He can be hot and cold towards me at times. There must be something I am not do right."
"Don't be in a hurry. Let's take it one step at a time. We have plenty of time." Sarah suddenly stopped and smiled at Antonio.
The setting sun cast a gentle light, and a light breeze blew. Antonio swept away the loose hair on Sarah's forehead and slowly bent down.
"Sarah, we will be together forever, never apart, right?"
"Yes."
Their lips met, and a thousand words converged into this moment of tenderness, intertwining their hearts as they got closer to each other, never to be separated.
However, this beautiful moment was interrupted by hurried footsteps.
"Antonio! Oh... I'm sorry, Antonio. I didn't know you were..."
Antonio furrowed his brow imperceptibly. He reluctantly let go of the person in his arms and asked impatiently, "Ms. Jerrett, do you know why I'm here?"
Serene nodded, suppressing the jealousy in her eyes. "I just wanted to ask you...
"Recently, the company's performance has been good, and by the way, I would like to invite the two of you for a meal as a token of gratitude."
"Ms. Jerrett, there's no need to be so polite," Antonio responded, seizing the opportunity to talk to Serene. “It is not necessary for us to have a meal together. Consider what I did as repayment for the favor you did for me last time."
Serene's face changed. "Antonio, what do you mean?"
Antonio explained, "Didn't you say it yourself? By helping you this time, my wife and I have repaid the debt from when you saved me. Now that the J&K Group is stable, I can also offer you a project in collaboration with Valencia Inc., which will ensure your company's operation."
He raised an eyebrow. "Ms. Jerrett, now it seems we're even, isn't it?"
Serene forced herself to appear unaffected by his words, clenching her teeth. "Yes, I won't forget what I said. We're even now."
"Good, thank you, Ms. Jerrett. From tomorrow onwards, I won't interfere with matters concerning the J&K Group anymore. I will leave the collaborative project in James' hands. If there are any issues with the project in the future, you should talk to him instead of me," Antonio stated.
This was a complete separation of their relationship.

Serene reluctantly smiled. "No problem."
Sarah, who had remained silent the entire time, suddenly felt relieved. Antonio's involvement with Serene would no longer cause any trouble. Finally, everything could be resolved.
"Antonio, let's go home then. The children are waiting for us," Sarah said, holding Antonio's hand and happily accompanying him home.
Sarah hummed a tune along the way. She was clearly in a great mood.
Antonio couldn't help but tease, "You're so happy even without going to the J&K Group? Are you jealous of me being with Serene?"
"Who's jealous of your little affairs? I just don't want to see the faces of those shareholders," Sarah denied, unable to hide her delight.
Antonio stopped teasing Sarah as he was also in a good mood.
Now that the cold war between them had been resolved, they should move on to focus on doing something serious, shouldn't they?
"Stop the car," Sarah suddenly said.
